The article presents a framework of issues to consider when modifying measures of healthcare disparities for diverse populations including ethnic minorities, racially diverse and older populations. The study concluded that by calling attention to the importance of providing details, the hope is to promote better reporting in publications that use modified measures. The value of modifications in the ongoing evolution of concepts and measures in studies of minority aging is highlighted.
