Septic arthritis of the posterior lumbar joints is extremely rare. The clinical picture of this unusual site of infection can easily lead to confusion with spondylodiscitis which is more common. We report a case of a 50-year-old woman with Staphylococcus aureus septic arthritis of the left L5-S1 lumbar facet joint. CT scan was helpful to establish the diagnosis and to guide the percutaneous needle biopsy.

Mondini's malformation is a rare internal ear malformation. It's often discovered in childhood in the course of perception deafness check up, or repetitive meningitis in some other cases. The authors report a case of complex Mondini's malformation with fistulas of cerebro-spinal-fluid in oval and round windows, and stress the interest of high resolution computed tomography.

We present one case of bursa formation secondary to a scapular osteochondroma. This rare condition can simulate, clinically and radiologically, a sarcomatous transformation. CT scan is helpful to demonstrate the scapular osteochondroma and the adjacent bursa.

The authors study the diagnostic accuracy of quasi axial view during discography about 136 discs with proved herniation. It is a good helm to the frontal and lateral views.

Lateral images were studied in the sitting and standing positions during a continuous series of 150 radiculographies, in patients presenting with a symptomatology suggestive of herniated disk or lumbar stenosis. In 67% of cases the dural sac was abnormally reduced at the level of the inter-somatic spaces, due to disk protrusion or intracanalar protrusion of posterior soft tissues. In 23% of cases, an absolute canalar stenosis with anterior-posterior decrease to less than 10 mn in the standing position existed. This was due in 65% of cases to an isolated or predominant posterior impression, the latter appearing in the standing position in only 55% of cases. Saccoradiculography is the only procedure allowing study of the dural cul-de-sac in the standing position. It should be carried out if a narrow lumbar canal is suspected clinically, even if investigations in the lying position, such as CT scan or MR imaging show normal canalar dimensions.

A 22-year-old woman with an osteoid osteoma of capitate bone presented initially with arthritis of wrist. Bone scan imaging and digital subtraction angiography allowed diagnosis of a nidus. This case draws attention to articular manifestations of osteoid osteoma.
