Abstract

The article offers the author's insight on the courage of Haitians and condition of Haiti victims after the Haiti earthquake in 2010. He states that the country has long existed in a state of emergency before the earthquake, which has not been recognized and the earthquake worsened the situation. He notes that challenges for the medical team have increased as day passes, such as balancing their focus on patients from the earthquake and treating ongoing daily trauma, heart failure, and malaria.
