The article features Sappi Fine Paper Europe, a leading global paper maker whose Algro Sol specialty paper was developed to support the manufacture of sporting goods such as hockey sticks and skis. It reviews the expanding market for prepregs or pre-impregnated fibre materials. It also reports about the recent investment by Sappi in the rebuilding of paper making machine 2 (PM2) at the Alfeld Mill in Germany to increase the production capacity for Algro Sol and other specialty papers.
