Abstract

The Japanese government has reacted properly to the economic recession. The recession includes a downturn in the business cycle, no growth in the money supply and demand greater than supply. An economic stimulus should wait until demand falls below supply to avoid making inflation worse. Those who agitate for quicker action would exacerbate inflation and damage the economy.
