This document is an editorial from the Janus.Net: e-Journal of International Relations. It introduces a special issue on Historical and Contemporary Perspectives on East Asia, which is the result of collaboration with the Macau Scientific and Cultural Centre (CCCM). The special issue contains seven articles, two in Portuguese and five in English, covering topics such as the social history of the Melaka-Singapore region, the origins and development of Christianity in Korea, Chinese contemporary political governance, Chinese international diplomacy through sports and gastronomy, and the contemporary education system in China. The articles provide new insights and analysis on various aspects of East Asian society and are aligned with the mission of the CCCM. [Extracted from the article]
