Although other high-risk industries are led by people with training in and appreciation for engineered solutions, health care rarely has an engineer on a leadership team. Comment & Response B In Reply b We appreciate the opportunity to respond to Dr Oxman's Letter about our Viewpoint.[1] We agree with Oxman that the current use of algorithms to diagnose sepsis has caused unintended consequences.
