Women's glass ceiling beliefs form a crucial source for their career development. In this paper, Optimism theory is employed to assert that workplace spirituality can positively influence optimistic glass ceiling beliefs. This paper attempts to clarify the interpretation of meaningfulness at work as a moral issue and shows how it is linked to employees' dignity and wellbeing in the workplace within organizational settings and practices. It critiques work-life balance and argues for integrating meaningfulness at work within the work-life continuum for a life well lived. Many factors contribute to our understanding of meaningfulness at work. However, this paper analyzes the link between meaningful activity and wellbeing and argues for the just context of the workplace rooted in self-respect to ensure employees' dignity in the workplace. In this regard, it introduces the concept of 'employeeship' as a counterpart (not followership) to leadership. It shows the importance of the normative context of wellbeing, which requires minimal and common conditions of freedom as nondomination and recognition for employeeship. This paper seeks to examine the viewpoints of teachers and students regarding basic and modern employability skills. For the study purpose, secondary and primary data were gathered. For primary data, two separate questionnaires were framed with a five-point Likert scale, and for secondary data, various websites, blogs, newspapers, journals, reports and research papers, etc. were explored. To collect the viewpoints of teachers and students, data was gathered from various universities in Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana and Chandigarh. The objective of the paper is to present a retrospective account of the origin, development, and present status of Symbolic Convergence Theory (SCT). According to SCT, the communicative value of sharing imaginations stems from its capacity to generate a symbolic consciousness that is part of reality. It is a general hypothesis that serves to explain vast portions of interpersonal communication in small groups, public, organizations, and between cultures. Along with its background and related research, the study lists the anatomical parts. This is done by focusing on six meta theoretical concept structures. The study also shows how SCT has been used to solve interdisciplinary communication problems and discusses its biggest criticism and possible directions for future research and development.
