A rapid and efficient chromatographic method was developed to determine the labelling yields and radiochemical purity of 99mTc-renal radiopharmaceuticals, including 99mTc-glucoheptonate (99mTc-Gh), 99mTc-gluconate (99mTc-Gl), 99mTc-dimercaptosuccinic acid (99mTc-DMSA), and 99mTc-diethylene triamine penta acetic acid (99mTc-DTPA). The chloroform/water partition coefficient was determined. For the separation of radiochemical impurities from 99mTc-renal radiopharmaceuticals, the chromatography TLC on silica gel, and the instant thin-layer chromatography (ITLC) were used, applying polar and nonpolar solvents. The quantitative distribution of 99mTc-renal preparation was determined by biological analysis on white rats.

Es wird die chromatoyraphische und elektroplioretitsche Bestimmung der radiochemischen Reinheit von Radioprotein beschrieben.Die quantitative Bestimmung des Radioproteins wurde spektrometrisch unter Benutzung von Folins Reagens durchgefuhrt. Die Zugabe von 0,9% Benzylulkohol als Konservieninysmittel zum Radioprotein erniedrigt die Gehaltsicerte im vergleich mitl benzylalkoholfreien proben.

A procedure for the instant labelling of lyophilised Sn-Ca-glucoheplonate by 99mTc is presented. Chemical and biological properties of the final product are studied. A high labelling yield (95-98%) is obtained by radiochemical methods with the pH value ranging between 6 and 7. Results of biodistribution study shows that the portion of the agent, 18 - 25% of the injected dose, retains in kidney one hour after the injection.

The method of the fraction separation in commercial rose bengal has been described. Individual fractions were identified on the basis of the absorption maxima obtained on a spectrophotometer. Iodine labelled rose bengal was used for biological investigation in the experimental animals. It was found that rose bengal produced by Durand contains a high percentage of the main component of tetraiodotetrachlor-fluoresceine (absorption maxima at 548 nm) and is therefore most suitable for the labelling process.

Two procedures for separation of iodine and tellurium anions are described. Electrophoresis and paper chromatography were used to study the radioactive and radiochemical purity of carrier free Na131J solution.

Insulin is one of early discovered hormones, in 1889. Its structural formula has been discovered by Sanger and it consists of two long polypeptide chains binded with two disulphide bonds. It is considered that in the labelled insulin the 75 per cents out of the total radioactivity was binded in a chain A, having acidic properties and 21 amino-acid, while the chain B has alkali properties and contains 30 amino acids.

The procedure and results of determination of pyrogenic substances in radiopharmaceutical preparations by in vitro method based on the reaction between bacterial endotoxine and Limulus a Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) have been presented in the paper. The advantage of this method as compared to the test in experimental animals performed so far has also been analyzed and proved by the fact that it enables avoidance of introduction of radioactivity in experimental animals and radiation effect on the results obtained for efficiency of investigated preparations. The in vitro method is also quick to perform and requires only small quantities of used radiopharmaceutical preparation.

Biological properties of bromsulphophthalein labelled with 131I (BSP131I) were investigated on experimental animals. Maximum activity was found in the tissue of healthy liver shortly after injection of the preparation. Forms of BSP131 I excreted through bile were analyzed chromatographically. It has been proved by the obtained radiochromatograms that the greatest part of activity is concentratd in the form of free BSP131 I while the activity found in the conjugated form ist considerably lower.
