Three meteors have been offered at a Guernsey's auction in New York in Nov 1996 and they failed to achieve their reserve price. The price of meteors rose after an announcement from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (Nasa) that remains of alien bacteria had been found on a Martian meteorite. There are still uncertainties attached to the meteorites such as whether they came from Mars, and whether the remains are bacteria, or whether they are bacteria from Earth.
