Covid-19 Pandemic has greatly affected EFL learners in English grammar. Learning English grammar in its nature is difficult for EFL learners. Covid-19 has made grammar lessons more difficult for them and has caused them to be differentiated sharply in their preference of learning model. Thus, this study is aimed at investigating the underlying factors causing the learners' differentiation of learning model in learning English grammar. Through a mixed-methods, using google-form that consists of closed and open-ended questions, the data of the research were collected. The quantitative data were analysed using descriptive statistics. The qualitative data were analysed using the model of analysis proposed by Miles, Huberman and Saldana (2014). The research results showed that teacher's presence and students' extrinsic motivation were identified as the crucial factors in determining the learners' preferences of learning model of English grammar. The integration of local cultural wisdom in the learning model is very important. Learning through culture will make students quickly understand the material presented. There have been many studies that have integrated local wisdom into learning models. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect size of the results of a systematic review and meta-analysis group's contrast from several research results on improving student learning outcomes that are taught with the integrated learning model of local cultural wisdom (MBTKBL) as an experimental group and not taught with a learning model integrated with local cultural wisdom (T-MBTKB) as a control group. The source of the data was obtained from searching in the online database of Google Scholar that met the specified criteria. Data analysis uses the systematic review and meta-analysis group contrasts approach. Random effects are used to determine summary effects and check publication bias. The analysis results obtained that the group of students taught using MBTKBL had high learning outcomes compared to the group of students who were taught T-MBTKB. The resulting summary effect of 1.37 (strong) is at intervals of 1.04 to 1.70. There is no indication of publication bias. Thus, local wisdom in Indonesia is very effectively integrated into each learning model because it can improve student learning outcomes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The ability to solve mathematical problems is desired in the 21st century due to its function in improving students' mathematical skills. However, it is observed to be very low among students and this implies there is a need for an appropriate learning model such as blended learning which can be taught online and offline to conduct problem-based learning activities. This research aims to determine (1) the difference in mathematical problem-solving abilities between students taught using a blended learning model and those with problem-based learning by considering their mathematical resilience and (2) the influence between mathematical resilience and students' problem-solving abilities. This is quantitative research conducted using a pretest-posttest randomized experimental design on 233 students at the 7thgrade. The data were collected using tests and questionnaires. The research data analysis technique used was covariance analysis (ANCOVA). The quadrant analysis of the covariance test showed the value of F(1.231) was 12.260 at 0.001 <0.05, and this means there are differences in problem-solving abilities between the two classes of students based on their mathematical resilience. The test concerning the influence showed 0.000 < 0.005, which indicates an influence between mathematical resilience and student problem-solving abilities at 79.8%. The results showed that these two skills influence each other and can improve students' ability to solve mathematical problems. Therefore, in addition to selecting an active learning model for students, educators also need to instill positive mathematical resilience during the learning process due to its effectiveness in increasing the confidence and persistence of students in solving problems. A preliminary study showed that Biology learning in the classroom could not encourage the integration of science concepts and Islamic values. The aims of this study are to (1) develop a new learning model that integrates scientific principles and Islamic values, and (2) characterize the RQANI model's validity, practicability, and effectiveness. This study belonged to the research and development study. The learning model was developed in four stages, including (1) preliminary investigation, (2) design, (3) realization/implementation, and (4) test, evaluation, and revision. The study population included all biology education students at IAIN Ternate, STKIP KIE Raha Ternate, and UIN Alauddin Makassar in Indonesia. The study enrolled 120 fourth semester biology education students from IAIN Ternate, STKIP KIE Raha Ternate, and UIN Alauddin Makassar, Indonesia. The research instruments employed in this study are validation sheets for learning models, observation sheets for learning implementation, learning achievement tests, and response questionnaires for the learning model. The results of this study include: (1) a new learning model, namely RQANI, that consists of five learning stages (Reading, Questioning, Answering, Elaboration, Integration); (2) The validity of the RQANI prototype was very high with an average value of 3.74. The RQANI learning model was considered fairly practical and effective in improving student learning outcomes and positive responses. Entrepreneurship skills are part of the essential skills in facing 21st-century challenges and demands. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the extent to which the empowerment of the creative entrepreneurship learning-based discovery skills (CEL-BaDiS Up) learning model can improve university students' science-based entrepreneurship (SciPreneur) skills on the topic of food biotechnology. This quasi-experimental research study employed a pretest-posttest control group design at a public university in Surakarta, Indonesia, in the 2020/2021 academic year, in which one class was as an experimental class using the CEL-BaDiS Up model, while the other class was an existing class utilizing a project-based learning (PjBL) model. Data were obtained through test instruments in the form of a performance assessment to measure SciPreneur skills, which had gone through expert validation, encompassing validation from education and evaluation experts, biotechnology experts, and certified natural science lecturers, and empirical validation tests had also been carried out. The results revealed that the effectiveness test score utilizing SEM from PLS software showed the effect of CEL-BaDiS Up (X1) on the SciPreneur skills (Y) variable of 2.105 > T-table (1.976). In addition, the original sample estimate value exhibited a positive value of 0.199, signifying the direction of the relationship between the CEL-BaDiS Up (X1) variable and the SciPreneur Skills (Y) variable was positive. Based on this study's results, it could be denoted that SciPreneur skills in the aspects of critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, communication skills, collaborative skills, observational skills, and creativity and innovation could be improved effectively through the CEL-BaDiS Up model activities. This research aims to examine the effectiveness of entrepreneurship learning with the Stanford D School design thinking approach and to make students more actively involved in learning activities so that their learning experiences can develop creative skills and entrepreneurial alertness. The underlying theory of the design thinking approach comes from the Experiential Learning Theory. This quasi-experiment was conducted by distributing questionnaires before and after the implementation of the learning approach. The research samples was students of the marketing expertise program from vocational schools, consisted of 60 students with Stanford D School design thinking approach and 60 students with teachercentered learning approach. The data were analyzed by the Independent Sample tTest and Paired Sample t-Test with SPSS 23 program. The results show that there are significant differences in creativity skills and entrepreneurial alertness between the experimental and the control class, and there are significant differences in the creativity skills and entrepreneurial alertness of the experimental class after receiving entrepreneurship learning with the design thinking approach. This gap can be overcome after students receive entrepreneurship learning using design thinking approach. This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Inquiry Social Complexity (ISC) learning model to improve critical and creative thinking skills of senior high school students in Indonesia. The research method used was experimental with pre-test-post-test group design. The research sample were 32 students using the ISC model and 30 students using Discovery Learning in the acid-base material. The data were analysed using the ANCOVA test resulting in F = 79.381 with a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05), meaning that there were significant differences between using the ISC model and using the Discovery Learning. There was a gap of 39.66% between the pre-test and post-test results of the experimental class and 24.83% of the control class. Metacognitive skills play a central role in the student learning process. However, there is a limited report consider regarding any learning model that can enhance students' metacognitive skills, particularly related to students' academic level. This current research aimed to perform the Simas Eric Learning Model (SELM) by considering students' academic level, namely, high and low academic levels toward metacognitive skills. The SELM is one of the learning model based on constructivism focusing on student-centered activities. The total of the participants was 254 senior high school students. The categorization of the sample was based on the homogeneity test in their IQ score. IQ tests had been conducted by schools before doing research in collaboration with higher education institutions that have official certificates measuring IQ. Test on the metacognitive skills was done before and after the learning and was analyzed by using Analysis of Covariance and Least Significance Different tests. The research results show that SELM was able to improve students' metacognitive skills significantly. The metacognitive skills of students who were taught by SELM were 71.9% higher than those who were taught by the conventional learning model. This research has developed learning tools of inquiry models combined with advance organizers in order to activate students' initial knowledge and improve their problem-solving skills. This article focuses on delivering the trial phase of the development process. The trial phase used non-equivalent pre-test post-test control group design to determine the effectiveness the combination of inquiry learning models and advance organizer approach. The population involved high school students in Mataram city and sampling was done by using cluster random sampling technique. Two groups were chosen and divided into experimental and control classes. The instrument used in the study is problem solving essay test consisting of 5 questions. Data were analysed using the Mann-Whitney test at a 5% level of significance, followed by the effect size and N-gain to find out the level of students' problem-solving skills improvement. Based on the result, it was found that the students in the experimental class who used a combination of inquiry learning models and advance organizer had significantly problem-solving skills' improvement than the control class that only used inquiry learning models. The research aimed to find the learning model of the undergraduate students by Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The objective was design learning model. The Methods of this Study process to find the learning model of the undergraduate students is divided into two phrases. This study aims to investigate and create a writing learning process that can generate both motivation and results from writing activities. The effectiveness of this model can be seen from students’ improvement both the quality of the process and the results of writing learning. Based on preliminary study, this study found a number of data about writing learning. The findings covered students' low writing ability, their learning was still results-oriented rather than process, the learning approach is individual and has not optimized the potential of student interaction and collaboration, and the was only one draft as a product. To overcome the issues mentioned, this study proposes the model of cooperative learning based on interpersonal intelligence. The study applied quasi-experimental, with control groups and experimental groups given pretests and posttests. This study found that there was a significant increase in students’ article writing ability. Their development in writing ability can be seen from aspects of content, organization, language, writing mechanics. In terms of the principle content of interpersonal skills, they experienced a significant increase. This study aimed at investigating the effects of situational factors consisting of school culture, corporate culture, and the performance of management institution to the readiness of student work in implementing Work-Based Learning (WBL) model on vocational education in Indonesia. The present study was primarily carried out with a quantitative approach using a survey methodology. The research was conducted in the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University and in the Machining Industry in Yogyakarta, Bandung and Semarang. The study was conducted within 6 months, from March to September 2018. The population of the study was all students (85 students) who took the complex machining process course. The research sample consisted of 32 people selected by purposive sampling technique. In this case, the study sample was students who have carried out industrial practice. Data were collected using questionnaires and test. Questionnaires were used to retrieve student responses data on situational aspects and their readiness to work in machining practices on soft-competence aspects. The test was used to retrieve data on the readiness of students to work on aspects of hard-competence. Content validity was established by expert judgment. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of RICOSRE learning models towards critical thinking skills of students with different academic abilities. This quasi-experimental study employed a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design and involved all the eleventh-grade students from high schools in Malang, Indonesia. The sample consisted of 134 students from two separate schools which represented different academic abilities (high and low). Data were collected using an essay test on students’ critical thinking skills. A rubric was employed to assess students’ answers and the results were analyzed using ANCOVA. Findings suggest that (1) there is a difference between the critical thinking skills of students whose learning was facilitated with RICOSRE and critical thinking skills of students who were engaged in conventional learning, (2) there is a critical thinking difference between the high and low ability students, (3) there is a difference in students’ critical thinking skills affected by the interaction between learning models and students’ academic abilities. The study of literary sociology is still considered boring for most students. The study of literary sociology is only emphasized on the aspect of theory memorizing. Therefore, implementing learning model with CSQ approach is considered very important to make students active, creative, happy, and have spiritual character. The aims of this study were to know the students' perception towards the implementation of literary sociology learning model with CSQ approach in literary sociology course and to know the effectiveness of literary sociology learning model with CSQ approach to teaching literary sociology compared to the conventional learning model. This research used a mixed-method approach. To answer the first aim of the study, a case study design was used and to answer the second aim of the study the experimental design was used. There were some instruments used in this study such as observation, interview, questionnaire, and test. The qualitative data yielded from observation, interview, and the questionnaire was analysed descriptively; meanwhile, the quantitative data yielded from the test was analysed by using t-test formula. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the Assurance Relevance Interest Assessment Satisfaction (ARIAS) strategies set with Numbered Heads Together (NHT) on students' learning motivation. This quasi experimental study employed a pretest-post test nonequivalent control group design. The population of the research was all the eleventh graders who were enrolled in the science classes of public senior high schools (SMA) in Makassar, Indonesia. There were 21 schools in total. Random sampling technique was used to select 78 participants who were divided into two groups of treatment: 39 students for each treatment. Research instruments were developed based on the Attention, Relevance, Confident, Satisfaction (ARCS) model. Data on students' learning motivation was collected using a questionnaire that was distributed before and after learning. Research data was analyzed using a descriptive statistic and the analysis of covariate (ANCOVA) statistic. The results of the research suggest that learning strategies have an effect on students' motivation. As the massive advancement in 21st century, the role of education is to prepare generations in mastering the skills they need to face the challenges arised in their era. OIDDE is the abbreviation for Orientation, Identify, Discussion, Decision, and Engage in behaviour. The learning model designed by Hudha et al. A cooperative approach-based Speaking Learning Model (SLM) has been developed to improve speaking skill of Higher Education students. This research aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of cooperative-based SLM viewed from the development of student's speaking ability and its effectiveness on speaking activity. This mixed method study combined evaluative descriptive and experimental designs. The population was the first semester students from Department of Indonesian Language and Letter Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education in 4 regencies of East Java Province, Indonesia. By stratified random sampling, 50% of populations were taken as the sample. The research instruments covered questionnaire, interview, FGD, and speaking test. Data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing became the data analyses phases upon questionnaire, interview, and FGD. The data from speaking test were analyzed by t-test in which normality and homogeneity tests were conducted previously. Statistically, both speaking ability scores were different because Fcalculation was 11.380 while Ftable was 3.91 at the significance level = 0.05. Since Fcalculation > Ftable, it can be concluded that cooperative approach gave significant influence in improving speaking ability and was more effective than the conventional one.
