Abstract

Structural parameters for chloroferrocene were obtained from the microwave spectra of two isotopomers. Structural analysis of the chloroferrocene and the gas phase measurements of the substituted ferrocene indicated the presence of chlorine quadrupole coupling. Gas phase measurements of the substituted ferrocene via microwave spectroscopy also indicated the presence of significant quadrupole strength and a rigid-rotor spectrum due to high internal rotation.
