Focuses on the interaction of the lacunary [alpha-XW[sub 9]O[sub 33]][sup 9- (X = arsenic (As)[sup III], antimony (Sb)[sup III]) with Cu[sup 2=] and Zn[sup 2+] ions in neutral, aqueous medium which leads to the formation of dimeric polyoxoanions. Selenium and tellurium analogues of the copper-containing heteropolyanions; Result of the reaction of [alpha-AsW[sub 9]O[sub 33]][sup 9-] with Zn, Co, and Mn ions.
