By attaching an AS/400 server directly to the Internet, the company give customers, business partners, industry watchers, and critics the opportunity to retrieve information directly from the AS/400 using standard industry protocols and services, said Bill Zeitler, assistant general manager, marketing, AS/400 Division. This article discusses the implementation of the Public Access Policy by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 2008. All final peer-reviewed manuscripts arising from NIH funds must be submitted to PubMed Central upon acceptance for publication. This article reviews three political reporting Web sites, namely: FactCheck.org, Spinsanity, and the Columbia Journalism Review Campaign Desk. They all tackle the toughest issues with painstaking research and unwavering commitment to accuracy. They are all so well-written that they entertain as well as enlighten. FactCheck.org is a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania. FactCheck follows through by dissecting campaign ads and candidate statements to uncover factual errors, omissions, and distortions. FactCheck is rigorously impartial and nonpartisan. It provides the text of the ad or statement and a cool, tightly written exposition of its flaws. The analysis relies on extensive research, with links to most of the sources that are cited. Like FactCheck, Spinsanity diligently bores beneath the surface of political rhetoric to expose what really happened and what was really said. Spinsanity, however, is particularly concerned with the misuse of language and how rhetoric in defiled to create cynical, self-serving political messages. Omission of critical facts, selective and misleading use of quotes, language that breaches the honest bounds of rhetoric--Spinsanity reveals these scams with thorough research and blunt analysis. Campaign Desk has the widest range of the three sites. It takes on the statements of the candidates and the parties, but its real hunting ground is the broad political media landscape.
