In a statement by Collins, he said that with content from All Academic, EBSCO is providing an avenue for societies dedicated to virtually any area of study to share their associated papers with a larger audience outside the realm of their individual conferences. Case's brother led him into a relationship with Control Video, an early player in online video gaming that distributed games for the Atari 2600 game console using a phone line and modem. The partnership began to offer an online service called Quantum Link for the Commodore 64 computer. Case saw communications as a key application for personal computers.
