Abstract
This article reports on a business partnership between Dialog Information Services Inc. and the College of Saint Catherine of Saint Paul, Minnesota in February 1990, to create an information laboratory within the college's Department of Information Management. The information laboratory is composed of equipment donated to Saint Catherine by Dialog. It is distinguished by six workstations consisting of a microcomputer, monitor, 2400 baud modem, individual phone line, and printer. A CD-ROM unit will allow students to access digitized information on optically encoded compact discs. The laboratory is equipped with a computer projection unit so that instructors can demonstrate computer software and the intricacies of distinct data files.
