The exposure of users account for how they seek information and this is what has prompted this study. This paper investigated the information seeking behaviours of users in the enhancement of information communication technology in the Nigerian university environment. The quantitative approach method was used and questionnaire administered to two hundred (200) students randomly selected from the four (4) Nigerian universities in the South-Western part of Nigeria. The data gathered from the questionnaire was analysed using the frequency count, simple percentage, t-test for independent sample mean and pearson moment correlation. The result reveals that male information seeking behaviours in the use of library has a greater significant influence than the female. Also, significant relationship exists in the usefulness and effectiveness of ICT by users in the academic library. More so, the result shows that postgraduate students were more frequent in the use of ICT resources than the undergraduates. Furthermore, the result indicates that information seeking behaviours is of great challenge when using ICT to get materials in the library. Recommendations were then made that there is absolute need to introduced digital catalogue to the academic libraries. When the libraries are automated, library users can have access to information sources available in that library. There is also need to upgrade facilities in the academic library especially as regards electronic information infrastructure and resources to meet the needs and expectations of the new age users. Finally, courses on the use of internet and virtual libraries should be design in a way to instruct the students or library users on how to make use of the available technologies in accessing and meeting up with their information needs through information communication technology (ICT). The major holdings of the broadcast libraries of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) are electronic information resources; therefore, providing safe places for general management of these resources have aroused interest in the industry in Nigeria for sometimes. The need to study the preservation and conservation of these information resources becomes very important so as to alleviate and find suitable measures to eliminate the identified possible damaging effects of this malign challenging situation in the broadcast libraries of the NTA. This study attempted to find out the categories of electronic information resources and their level of preservation and conservation as well as the challenges that were faced in the preservation and conservation of the resources identified. The descriptive survey research was adopted for the study. Five broadcast libraries were purposively selected for this study and questionnaire were used to obtain data from the heads of each library. Multimedia files were majorly acquired in tapes of various categories. Lack of policy, human errors, lack of in-depth knowledge and funding were among the major problems highlighted. Meanwhile, the study recommended the following; procurement of newer resources like disk video server, provision of standard and working policy and holistic study of general managements of electronic information resources among others. This study was carried out to investigate the factors that affect the adoption of information technologies (IT) in academic libraries in Imo state. Instruments for data collection were questionnaire and personal observation of the four institutions under study . These consist of two University libraries, one College of Education library and one Polytechnic library. The data were analyzed using tables and percentages. The outcomes of the study revealed that inadequate funding, lack of competent staff and inadequate power supply among others were the major constraints to IT adoption in academic libraries in Imo state. In an era of information explosion and increasing use of digital resources, the paper recommends that adequate funding should be made available to academic libraries in Imo state so that they can provide IT based library resources for optimal library services .
