Abstract

The authors presents their proposal of approaches to overcoming challenges such as high stress and fatigue in the foldable active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) displays. The note that an AMOLED display is far more attractive for use on flexible substrates compared to a thin-film-transistor liquid-crystal display (TFT-LCD). The use of high-temperature processes and extremely accurate control of the flexible substrate material during the fabrication process is also tackled.
