The article highlights a study which investigated the repair of abdominal skin defects in dogs using acellular diaphragm xenografts of ovine origin. Results of the study revealed that acellular diaphragmatic xenografts helped in the early healing of the grafted wounds. The xenografts acted as extracellular matrix scaffold for the remodeling of the tissue or for regenerating missing tissue.

The article discusses a study conducted in Assam, India which investigated standardization of suitable age at weaning in Ghungroo pigs to help improve production efficiency at pig farm. The study involved 104 piglets from 12 liters maintained at an institute farm in Rani, Guwahati from September 2009 to July 2010. The researchers found that the weaning at 8 weeks of age was significantly superior for both males and females under study as compared to weaning at 6 and 7 weeks of age.

The study found that the dentition patterned can be recorded by the end of 120 days of age in Ghungroo piglet.

The article presents a study on the interrelationship between body size and scrotal measurements in Sahiwal bulls. The researchers observed 32 Sahiwal bulls at the Artificial Breeding Complex of the National Dairy Research Institute in Karnal, India. They used flexible cloth tape to measure secrotal circumference in centimeter and used electronic digital caliper to measure the lateral and medial widths of both testicles. They found that correlation of testicular parameters were significant in adult and young animals.

The article discusses a study which investigated suitable weaning age for the Niang Megha breed of pigs. The pigs were reared at the National Research Centre on Pig's Institute Farm in Assam. Their body weights were regularly measured. Pigs weaned at 8 weeks have better overall growth ratio as compared to pigs weaned at 6 and 7 weeks.

The article discusses a study which assessed the performance of day-old chicks of Kadaknath and Dual-Coloured birds under backyard farming at two different villages of Shahdol district in Madhya Pradesh, India. compared to Kadaknath, the dual purpose coloured variant birds achieved significantly higher body weight throughout the growth stages under observation. The dual purpose coloured variant also sexually matured earlier and was better in egg production.
