A cervical bronchogenic cyst is a rare embryological anomaly of the primitive foregut, with an exceptionally uncommon occurrence in a suprahyoid location attached to the parotid tail. We report a case of an asymptomatic neck mass initially diagnosed as either a branchial cleft cyst or lymphangioma based on clinic-radiological investigation, which was subsequently confirmed as an ectopic bronchogenic cyst through histopathological examination. The collapsibility and dynamic phenomenon of the upper airway in obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) patients during sleep is a complex mechanism. Its assessment prior to definitive surgery by drug-induced sleep endoscopy may mimic a snap shot of airway collapse during natural sleep. However, it still presents a shortcoming even after three decades of research and evolution in its technique. The hypothetical concept is to perform an overnight objective assessment of the upper airway collapsibility by the acoustic reflection technique in OSAS patients to decide the appropriate management plan. Xanthelasma palpebrarum (XP) is the most common form of cutaneous xanthomata, and is important aesthetically, because of its close relation to the eyes, as well as medically for its association with cardiovascular disease (CVD). To provide avant-garde review discussing the various aspects of XP, including its aetio-pathogenesis and various treatment modalities. A structured Pubmed and Medline were searched for relevant articles. The finding of recent research has strongly espoused the link between XP and CVD, and mechanisms have been suggested for its formation. The new technologies have led to a multitude of treatment options for XP.
