The mission of Common Enterprise Modelling Framework for Distributed Organisations (CEMF-DO) is to provide, within distributed organisations, a common framework in which modelling, simulation, analysis and management of models for designing interoperability solutions are explored and integrated. The paper presents activities related to the work on a unify enterprise modelling language (UEML) and on the management and synchronisation of enterprise models (SDDEM) performed as one work package within the Network of Excellence INTEROP (508011).

The QUALIT team builds an interactive tool to support complex change processes and improve work conditions. The paper concentrates on challenges and obstacles of multidisciplinary tool development by psychologists, sociologists and engineers. The change management framework with a set of tools and a keyword driven case library provides guidance and flexibility and bridges the different requirements of users. Progressing co-operation in this QUALIT team is mirrored with the history of expanding engineering fields that allows a limited prediction of the future consideration for “integrated design” of factory work.
