The maxillary sinus is the largest among all the paranasal sinuses located in the maxilla, sis, and treatment. A narrative literature review was carried out through Pubmed, Lilacs and Scielo databases, with selected articles in Portuguese and English. Odontogenic maxillary sinusitis is a disease with a complex diagnosis that requires complementary exams for the proper planningbetween the main orbital and nasal. Diversity can be considered, although special attention should be paid to the causes of alveolar diseases that can cause maximum damage to its membrane. This paper aims to describe the findings of the literature on maxillary sinusitis that discuss the anatomy, etiology, diagno of the case. Its treatment depends on the nature that presides and consists primarily in the definition of the causal factor of dental origin. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
