By integrating RFID (radio frequency identification) and WSN ( wireless sensor network) technologies a new logistics warehouse management system (WMS) is presented in this paper. In the new WMS, RFID facilitates goods tracking and tracing. WSN, on the other hand, provides information about the warehouse environment. After analyzing several integration forms of RFID and WSN, we adopt integrating RFID readers with WSN nodes to realize the system. RFID readers and WSN nodes form the smart nodes which are important in the system. The framework of the system is proposed. The hardware and software of the smart node are implemented in the paper. The system not only identifies goods more easily and accurately, but also can monitor the warehouse environment for 24 hours. The cost is low and the system is more efficient. It meets the requirements of cold supply chain and other logistics of dangerous products on warehouse management.
