Abstract

The article presents a case study that analyzes the approximated costs, power recovery and return on investment (ROI) of an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) system. Three scenarios, which are further subdivided into four cases with different flue-gas flowrates and inlet temperatures, are identified. Results said that an ORC system can recover waste-heat energy from any source of flue-gas and have an appealing ROI which provides extra income without increasing emissions.
