The article presents case study of patients with herniated gravid uterus growing in an incisional hernia. Topics discussed include situation of uterus becoming too large to enter the hernial sac when reaching the level of the hernia aperture and reports of infraumbilical vertical incisions performed for caesarean sections; factors which influence incisional hernias including poor surgical technique, antibiotic administration, and intra-abdominal sepsis; and caesarean section rate in the U.S.
