Abstract

A study of the development of genetic diversity with time for Trifolium pallescens from three alpine glacier foreland populations was carried out. The result showed that development of genetic diversity was not linked to the age of the plant population but resulted from a combination of factors like gene flow and growth rate that are influenced by site-and species-specific factors.
