Background and Objective: Emerging diseases like Parkinson or Alzheimer's, which are not curable, endanger human mental health and are challenging to research. Drug target interactions (DTI) are pivotal in the screening of candidate drugs and focus on a small pool of drug targets. Electroencephalogram shows the responses to psychotropic medicines in the brain bioelectric activity. Synaptic activity can be analyzed by using Local Field Potential recordings obtained from micro-electrodes implanted in the brain. The aim is to evaluate the effects of drug on brain bioelectric activity and increase the drug classification accuracy. The ultimate goal is to advance our understanding of how drugs affect synaptic activity and open the door to more focused treatment for neurodegenerative diseases., Methods: In this study, Pharmaco-EEG recordings are processed using Advanced neural network models, particularly Convolutional Neural Networks, to assess the effects of medications. The five different medicines used in this study are Ephedrine, Fluoxetine, Kratom, Morphine, and Saline. The signals observed are local field potential signals. To overcome some limits of DTI prediction, we propose Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) for the categorization of intracranial EEG (i-EEG) data, departing from standard approaches. Similar EEG patterns are presumably caused by drugs that work by homologous pharmacological pathways, producing similar psychotropic effects. To improve accuracy and reduce training loss, our study introduces a bidirectional LSTM model for classification along with Bayesian optimization., Results: High recall, precision, and F1-Scores, particularly a 95% F1-Score for morphine, ephedrine, fluoxetine, and saline, suggest good performance in predicting these drug classes. Kratom produces a somewhat lower recall of 94%, but a high F1-Score of 97% and perfect precision of 1.00. The weighted average F1-Score, macro average, and overall accuracy are all consistently high (around 97%), indicating that the model works well throughout the spectrum of drugs., Conclusions: Improved model performance was demonstrated by using a diversified dataset with five drug categories and bidirectional LSTM boosted with Bayesian optimization for hyperparameter tuning. The global energy crisis, characterized by shortages of fossil fuels, increasing energy needs, and climate change, requires sustainable energy solutions. Renewable energy technologies provide important options to reduce GHG emission and improve energy security. In developing nations, the use of traditional biomass-fueled cooking stoves contributes to environmental damage, deforestation, and health problems. This research evaluates the impact of MICS on Energy Security and Sustainable Development in Bajura District, Nepal, where firewood is the main source of cooking and heating fuel. Employing an Explanatory Sequential Research Design, the study integrated quantitative survey followed by qualitative approach. A household survey was carried out using KoBo Toolbox among 507 households, followed by focus group discussion and in-depth interviews among 63 people. Survey data was analyzed in SPSS to see the impacts of MICS usage. Findings demonstrated significant reduction of firewood by 693.78 tons (33.85 %) and CO 2 emissions by 1247.4 tons (60.93 %) per annum improving energy security, and positive socio-economic and environmental impacts. Research emphasizes the significance of MICS on Energy Security and SD, offering valuable insights for decision-makers. This study introduces a novel, eco-friendly composite, uncalcined mesoporous silica nanoparticles incorporated into a starch cryogel (MSNs-Cry), designed for the effective removal of methyl orange (MO) from water. MSNs-Cry integrates uncalcined mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) within a starch cryogel network, leveraging the high adsorption capacity of MSNs. The composite achieved a maximum adsorption capacity of 18.98 mg g⁻ 1 and demonstrated high removal efficiencies of 99.00 % ± 0.21 % in synthetic water (10 mg L -1 MO) and 92.77 % ± 1.76 % in real wastewater containing 0.43 mg L -1 MO. The Langmuir isotherm model provided a superior fit (R 2  = 0.9930) compared to the Freundlich model (R 2  = 0.9180), and the adsorption kinetics followed a pseudo-second-order model (R 2  = 0.9917). The primary adsorption mechanisms included electrostatic attraction, hydrophobic interactions, and hydrogen bonding. The process was endothermic (ΔH° = 31.3 kJ mol -1 ), spontaneous, and more favorable at higher temperatures (ΔG° = -34.2 to -38.6 kJ mol -1  at 298-318 K). In the presence of sodium silicate at 13.1 times the MO concentration, removal efficiency drops by 35.77 %, and with sodium sulfate and urea at 100 times the MO concentration, it decreases by 8.65 %. Despite these challenges, MSNs-Cry effectively removes MO in the presence of the anionic dye Congo Red and metal ions, demonstrating its selective adsorption capabilities. The tablet form of MSNs-Cry prevents the loss of uncalcined MSNs, mitigating potential environmental and operational impacts. Additionally, the composite's effectiveness at a natural pH of 6.65 eliminates the need for pH adjustment, offering a cost-effective solution for real-world applications. This study investigated the effects of various pretreatment methods on the anaerobic digestibility of oil palm empty fruit bunches (EFB) for methane production. Pretreatment methods included weak alkaline (2 % Ca(OH) 2 ), weak acid (2 % acetic acid), acidified palm oil mill effluent (POME), biogas effluent, hydrothermal (180 °C, 190 °C, and 200 °C), and microwave pretreatments. All pretreatment methods enhanced methane yield compared to untreated EFB (189.45 mL-CH 4 /g-VS), with weak alkaline pretreatment being the most effective (277.11 mL-CH 4 /g-VS), followed by hydrothermal pretreatment at 180 °C (244.33 mL-CH 4 /g-VS) and biogas effluent pretreatment (238.32 mL-CH 4 /g-VS). The enhanced methane yield was attributed to increased cellulose content (45.5 % for weak alkaline pretreatment), reduced hemicellulose (18.0 % for hydrothermal pretreatment at 200 °C), and lignin contents (19.0 % for hydrothermal pretreatment at 200 °C), decreased crystallinity index (40.0 % for hydrothermal pretreatment at 200 °C), and increased surface area. Weak alkaline pretreatment also showed the highest net energy balance (8.73 kJ/g-VS) and a short break-even point (2 years). Microbial community analysis revealed that weak alkaline pretreatment favored the growth of syntrophic acetate-oxidizing bacteria and hydrogenotrophic methanogens, contributing to improved methane yield. Objective: This study aimed to compare the changes of reference points on the labial surface of upper incisors (U1) to upper lip (UL) after U1 labial movement between a translation group (TSL) and tipping group (TIP). Correlations between changes in U1 and UL were determined., Methods: Lateral cephalometric radiographs were selected and divided into TSL and TIP groups by pre- and post-treatment superimpositions. Skeletal, dental, and soft tissue of pre- and post-treatment and variables were evaluated. Independent t -test and Mann-Whitney U test were applied for the statistical analysis between TSL and TIP. Spearman's correlation coefficients and multiple linear regression analysis were used to verify the association between lip profile changes and other variables in TSL and TIP group separately., Results: After U1 labial movement, the incisal edge (LaU1e), middle (LaU1m), and cervical (LaU1c) points of TSL moved evenly labially, whereas the TIP group had incisal edge that moved greater labially than the middle and cervical points. UL moved more labially in TSL (0.87-1.05 mm) than the TIP (0.31-0.41 mm). UL changes to the E-line in TSL showed significant positive correlations to all three LaU1(e, m, c)-SnTV changes. In the TIP group, only a positive correlation presented for the LaU1m-SnTV and LaU1c-SnTV changes. Nevertheless, Multiple linear regression analysis indicated the unfeasibility of predicting the upper lip changing., Conclusion: LaU1e in TSL and TIP moved almost equally labially but less labially in TIP at the middle and cervical points. The UL moved more labially in TSL than TIP. CD19CAR-T cell therapy demonstrated promising outcomes in relapsed/refractory B-cell malignancies. Nonetheless, the limited T-cell function and ineffective T-cell apheresis for therapeutic purposes are still concern in heavily pretreated patients. We investigated the feasibility of generating hematopoietic stem cell-derived T lymphocytes (HSC-T) for cancer immunotherapy. The patients' autologous peripheral blood HSCs were enriched for CD34 + and CD3 + cells. The CD34 + cells were then cultured following three steps of lymphoid progenitor differentiation, T-cell differentiation, and T-cell maturation processes. HSC-T cells were successfully generated with robust fold expansion of 3735 times. After lymphoid progenitor differentiation, CD5 + and CD7 + cells remarkably increased (65-84 %) while CD34 + cells consequentially declined. The mature CD3 + cells were detected up to 40 % and 90 % on days 42 and 52, respectively. The majority of HSC-T population was naïve phenotype compared to CD3-T cells (73 % vs 34 %) and CD8:CD4 ratio was 2:1. The higher level of cytokine and cytotoxic granule secretion in HSC-T was observed after activation. HSC-T cells were assessed for clinical application and found that CD19CAR-transduced HSC-T cells demonstrated higher cytokine secretion and a trend of superior cytotoxicity against CD19 + target cells compared to control CAR-T cells. A chronic antigen stimulation assay revealed similar T-cell proliferation, stemness, and exhaustion phenotypes among CAR-T cell types. In conclusions, autologous HSC-T was feasible to generate with preserved T-cell efficacy. The ethnopharmacological relevance of the Millingtonia hortensis ( M. hortensis ) flower's aqueous extract lies in its traditional use as a herbal remedy in Southeast Asia. With a rich history in folk medicine, this aqueous has been esteemed for its purported sedative and anxiolytic properties. Our research delves into the scientific basis of these traditional claims, exploring the potential mechanisms underlying the observed effects of M. hortensis flower's aqueous extract on sleep promotion and mood regulation. This study aimed to explore the sleep-promoting effects of M. hortensis dried flower in mice, using an aqueous concentration equivalent to a human concentration of 2.7 mg/mL. Anxiolytic and antidepressant properties were evaluated using behavioural tests, while electroencephalography (EEG) analysis probed the neural mechanisms underlying sleep promotion post-consumption. The aqueous extract of M. hortensis dried flower administered to mice showed a decrease in immobility in the forced swimming test, demonstrating antidepressant-like effects. Moreover, mice treated with M. hortensis aqueous exhibited increased non-rapid eye movement (NREM) sleep duration, corroborating sleep-promoting potential. EEG analysis of mice treated with M. hortensis aqueous revealed heightened beta oscillations in the frontal and parietal cortex, while pre-treatment with M. hortensis aqueous or diazepam enhanced rapid eye movement (REM) sleep after thiopental administration. Interestingly, M. hortensis aqueous pre-treatment augmented delta frequency ranges in the frontal cortex. To overcome the current competitive market environment, obtaining high customer loyalty is a key success of retaining customers as loyal customers display high commitment to continue their support with the current service providers. Therefore, banks need to continue offering superior financial products and services to their customers to ensure high customer satisfaction which can ultimately trigger their customer loyalty. This research aims to enhance comprehension of customer loyalty in banking industry by conducting a comprehensive literature study. This research selected 149 published research articles related to customer loyalty in banking industry indexed by Web of Science and Scopus between 2012 and 2024. Only 44 final research articles that met the criteria were used for Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA). Results highlighted that bank customer loyalty was often investigated in India, followed by Indonesia, South Africa, Vietnam, Ghana, Brazil, Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, and China. Meanwhile, results also underscored that satisfaction, trust, service quality, image, commitment, reliability, perceived value, ethical, perceived usefulness and experience often and significantly influenced customer loyalty. Finally, results also outlined that consumer research mechanism of customer loyalty in banking industry evolved frequently and significantly shifting from general to electronic banking service consumption following banking 5.0 of "how Fintech will change traditional banks in the new normal or post pandemic". Most patients with locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC) are primarily treated using concurrent chemoradiation (CCRT); however, LACC lacks reliable predictive biomarkers. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) could define the dynamic biological response to CCRT. However, the relationship between EVs and the therapeutic response to LACC is unestablished. Thus, we aimed to determine the relationship of plasma EVs pre- and post-CCRT in 62 patients with LACC. For proteomic analyses, EVs were isolated using ultracentrifugation (UC) with size exclusion chromatography or UC alone. We found that plasma particle concentration was significantly increased post-treatment in non-responders. After CCRT, there was a decrease in proteins related to serine protease and fibrinogen, which contribute to tumor microenvironment alteration. This reduction also extended to proteins involved in innate immune and viral immune responses, correlating with reduced tumor burden. Sparse partial least squares discriminant analysis revealed 8, 13, and 19 proteins at diagnosis, one month, and three months, respectively, influencing the CCRT response. Among these, FIBG, TFR1, HBA, and FINC are prognostic markers according to The Cancer Genome Atlas tissue gene expression database. Elderly people are susceptible to malnutrition due to many factors. An essential public health priority is ensuring that seniors have appropriate nutrition to prevent and treat malnutrition and dehydration as well as fulfilling the nutrition necessity. This study was conducted to utilize selected legumes and mushrooms to develop a high-protein instant soup (HPIS) product that is nutritious and suitable for the consumption of the elderly. Black bean, along with oyster mushroom and split-gill mushrooms, exhibited considerable amounts of protein (19.13 ± 1.13, 2.77 ± 0.09, and 4.65 ± 0.61 g/100 g, respectively), calcium (2308.65 ± 113.07, 640.19 ± 0.80, and 743.89 ± 0.66, respectively), iron (40.84 ± 2.42, 7.31 ± 0.05, and 40.10 ± 2.15, respectively), and zinc (18.06 ± 1.07, 3.87 ± 0.03, and 26.23 ± 0.78, respectively) content, and were incorporated into the HPIS formula. Drum dryer rotation speed significantly affected the HPIS properties. The study on the effect of different rotation speeds (3, 5, 7, and 9 RPM) used during the drying process revealed the use of 7 RPM resulting in the soup product with considerable quality. The optimized HPIS formula, which was supplemented with minerals, was moderately liked (7.1-7.5) by the elderly consumer. The majority of the consumers accepted the product (97 %) and were interested in purchasing the product (91 %) if it was available on the market. This paper reports the design and development of thin-film resonant absorbers for narrowband and multiband operation in the frequency regions centered at 10 GHz. The structure of the resonant metasurface absorber (RMA) is based on a liquid crystal polymer (LCP) thin-film spacer with a copper patch array on the front surface and un-patterned copper film on the back surface of the LCP film. The design and simulation works were carried out using full-wave analysis of the RMA characteristics. The copper-based periodic patch array acts as a metasurface. The perfect RMA for a given LCP film thickness can be obtained through impedance optimization by adjustment of the dimensions of the lattice periods. The electric and magnetic field distributions were studied. The resonant film absorber based on a 100 μm thick LCP film has an electrical thickness of λ / 300 at 10 GHz. The experimental work was conducted using a narrowband RMA prototype consisting of 11 × 11 cells. The measured result of the resonant absorption is at 10.1 GHz, which is in close agreement with the design frequency of 10 GHz. For multiband functionality, double- and quad-band film resonant absorbers have been designed based on a coplanar supercell utilizing the superposition of the resonance effect. This study investigates the co-digestion of hydrothermally pretreated empty fruit bunches (EFB) at 190 °C for 5 min (HTP190-EFB) with decanter cake (DC) to improve biogas production in high solid anaerobic digestion (HSAD). The HTP190-EFB exhibited a 67.98 % reduction in total solids, along with the production of 0.89 g/L of sugar, 2.39 g/L of VFA, and 0.56 g/L of furfural in the liquid fraction. Co-digestion of HTP190-EFB with DC at mixing ratios of 5, 10, and 15 %w/v demonstrated improved methane yields and process stability compared to mono-digestion of HTP190-EFB. The highest methane yield of 372.69 mL CH 4 /g-VS was achieved in the co-digestion with 5 %w/v DC, representing a 15 % increase compared to digestion of HTP190-EFB (324.30 mL CH 4 /g-VS) alone. Synergistic effects were quantified, with the highest synergistic methane yield of 77.65 mL CH 4 /g-VS observed in the co-digestion with 5 %w/v DC. Microbial community analysis revealed that co-digestion of hydrothermally pretreated EFB with decanter cake promoted the growth of Clostridium sp., Lactobacillus sp., Fibrobacter sp., Methanoculleus sp., and Methanosarcina sp., contributing to enhanced biogas production compared to mono-digestion of pretreated EFB. Energy balance analysis revealed that co-digestion of HTP190-EFB with DC resulted in a total net energy of 599.95 kW, 52 % higher than mono-digestion of HTP190-EFB (394.62 kW). Economic analysis showed a shorter return on investment for the co-digestion system (0.86 years) compared to the mono-digestion of HTP190-EFB (1.02 years) and raw EFB (2.69 years). Exposure to cadmium (Cd) results in bioaccumulation and irreversible damage; this encourages an investigation of alternatives to address Cd toxicity, using natural compounds. Lysiphyllum strychnifolium , a well-known Thai medicinal plant, was investigated for its phytochemical compounds and corresponding bioactivities, including antioxidant and anti-cytogenotoxic effects against Cd toxicity in HEK293 renal and HDF dermal cell models. The crude extract of L. strychnifolium (LsCrude) was partitioned into four fractions, using sequential polarity solvents (hexane, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, and water, denoted as LsH, LsD, LsE, and LsW, respectively). The extraction yields were 1.79 %, 5.08 %, 8.53 %, and 70.25 % (w/w), respectively. Phytochemical screening revealed the presence of tannins, alkaloids, and flavonoids in LsCrude and its fractions, except for LsH. LsE exhibited the highest concentrations of phenolics (286.83 ± 6.83 mg GAE/g extract) and flavonoids (86.36 ± 1.29 mg QE/g extract). Subsequent 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical-scavenging and ferric-reducing ability of plasma (FRAP) reducing powder assays demonstrated the high antioxidant capacity of LsCrude and its fractions. The lowest IC 50 value (9.11 ± 0.43 μg/mL) in the DPPH assay corresponded to LsW, whereas the highest total FRAP value (6.06 ± 0.70 mg QE Eq./g dry mass) corresponded to LsE. MTT and alkaline comet assays revealed the lack of toxicity of the extracts, which were considered safe. Upon exposure to Cd at the CC 50 level, HEK293 cells treated with LsE suppressed Cd-induced damage. HDF cells treated with LsCrude, LsD, or LsE attenuated Cd-induced damage. In the pre-treatment, LsD protected the HDF cells against Cd-mediated cytogenotoxicity. These anti-cytogenotoxic potentials are likely due to the antioxidant properties of the phytochemicals. Despite numerous studies on microplastic contamination in table salt worldwide, research focusing on Nepalese table salts is remarkably lacking. This study aims to address this gap by investigating microplastic contamination in salt samples collected from all seven provincial zones of Nepal. Our objective is to comprehensively assess the presence and characteristics of microplastics in salt sold within local markets across the country. Five salt packaging companies utilized by Nepalese consumers were identified. The collected salt samples were digested with Fenton's reagent to extract microplastics, which were then observed under a digital microscope. Using an OMAX stereomicroscope at 30× magnification and an OMAX A3503S digital camera, each microplastic was carefully identified and quantified. FTIR analysis was conducted to identify the polymer types. All tested salt samples (100 %) from both Nepalese and Indian packaging companies contained microplastics. Microplastic abundance exhibits variability among the samples, ranging from 80 to 1040 microplastics per kilogram of salt. The average value stands at 381 ± 219 microplastics per kilogram of salt sample. The distribution of microplastic concentrations within the salt samples reveals that the majority fall within the 301-400 microplastics per kilogram salt range, constituting 33 % of the total samples. Color analysis showed diverse contamination sources, while microplastic shapes included fibers (56 %), films (17 %), fragments (16 %) and pellets (11 %). Polymer type analysis confirmed the presence of polyethylene and polypropylene in tested microplastics. The study estimated that Nepalese individuals ingest an average of 1853 microplastics annually, indicating significant exposure from salt consumption. Surprisingly, factors such as storage conditions, date of salt packaging and thickness of packaging material did not significantly affect microplastic presence in the samples, suspecting manufacturing processes as the primary contributors to contamination. Therefore, the raw materials and purification practices for salt need improvement, as existing methods are insufficient to eliminate microplastics. The endogeneity problem arises when the auxiliary variables correlate to the error terms. In such cases, appropriate instrumental variables ensure efficient estimation. Calibration has recognized itself as an important methodological tool at a large scale to estimate the population total in survey sampling. Which does not offer efficient estimation in the presence of endogeneity. When endogeneity is present in the auxiliary variables, the calibration using endogenous auxiliary variables may produce biasedness and increase variance due to inappropriate model assumptions. In this article, we propose instrumental-variable calibrated estimators by using the classical instrumental-variables approach for the case of exact identification that are more efficient than conventional calibration estimators when some auxiliary variables are endogenous. Lactiplantibacillus plantarum SPS109, an isolated strain of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) from fermented foods, showed remarkable potential as a probiotic with dual capabilities in γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) production and cholesterol reduction. This study employs genomic and comparative analyses to search into the strain's genetic profile, safety features, and probiotic attributes. The safety assessment reveals the absence of virulence factors and antimicrobial resistance genes, while the genome uncovers bacteriocin-related elements, including sactipeptides and a cluster for putative plantaricins, strengthening its ability to combat diverse pathogens. Pangenome analysis revealed unique bacteriocin-related genes, specifically lcnD and bcrA , distinguishing SPS109 from four other L. plantarum strains producing GABA. In addition, genomic study emphasizes SPS109 strain distinctive features, two GABA-related genes responsible for GABA production and a bile tolerance gene ( cbh ) crucial for cholesterol reduction. Bacillus sp. TL7-3 has potential as a dietary supplement to promote human and animal health. It produces spores that can survive in harsh environments. Thus, when supplemented with nutrients, these spores can withstand the acidic pH of the stomach and resume vegetative development in the gut when exposed to growth-promoting conditions. Spores are formed as a cellular defense mechanism when a culture experiences stress and process optimization to achieve high spore production in a typical batch process remains challenging. Existing literature on the manipulation of gene expression and enzyme activity during batch cultivation is limited. Studies on the growth patterns, morphological changes, and relevant gene expression have aided in enhancing spore production. The present study used the response surface methodology for medium optimization. The model suggested that yeast extract and NH 4 Cl were significant factors controlling spore production. A comparison between the high weight ratio of carbon and nitrogen (C:N) substrates (8.57:1) in the optimized and basal media (0.52:1) showed an 8.76-fold increase in the final spore concentration. The expression of major genes, including codY , spo0A , kinA , and spo0F , involved in the sporulation was compared when cultivating Bacillus sp. TL7-3 in media with varying C:N ratios. At high C:N ratios, spo0A , kinA , and spo0F were upregulated, whereas codY was downregulated. Raft-forming liquid formulations incorporating ginger extract solid dispersion (GE-SD) were developed to achieve prolonged delivery of 6-gingerol in the stomach and thus increase the effectiveness of gastric ulcer treatment. The solubility of 6-gingerol in 0.1 N HCl (pH 1.2) was maximized (15 mg/mL) by combining ginger extract with PVP K30 at 1:3 w/w ratio to produce a solid dispersion. The nature of GE-SD was confirmed by PXRD and FT-IR analysis. PXRD pattern showed miscibility of GE and PVP K30 in amorphous solid dispersion and the FT-IR spectra confirmed the formation of hydrogen bond between GE and PVP K30. GE-SD-loaded raft-forming liquids were prepared using sodium alginate as a gel former and HPMC as a release-controlling agent. The formulations exhibited rapid floating behavior in 0.1 N HCl (<30 s) and remained afloat on the surface over 8 h. The formed raft structures provided sufficient strength (>7.5 g) and allowed sustained release of more than 70 % of the 6-gingerol content over 8 h in 0.1 N HCl. Raft-forming formulations incorporating ginger extract demonstrated anti-inflammatory activity by inhibiting nitric oxide production in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophage cells (IC 50  = 5.13 ± 0.07 μg/mL). Exposure to the formulations also had a significant cytotoxic effect on AGS human gastric adenocarcinoma cells with an IC 50 of 17.45 ± 0.29 μg/mL. In addition, the raft-forming formulations enhanced the migratory behavior of L929 mouse fibroblasts in the scratch wound model. Addressing the critical conundrum of escalating municipal solid waste (MSW) and shrinking landfill spaces in urban areas, this research pioneers a sustainable approach for Bangladesh by exploring the potential of biogas production from MSW. Distinctly, it fills the research gap by providing a detailed techno-economic and environmental analysis of decentralized fixed-dome anaerobic digestion facilities in the urban context of Chittagong, Bangladesh, a domain previously underexplored. Our findings demonstrate the feasibility of converting MSW into a renewable energy source, offering an innovative solution that simultaneously tackles waste management and energy generation challenges. Each proposed plant showcases the capability to generate 536 m³ of biogas daily, sufficient to power a 50 kW gas engine and supply 44 households, thereby contributing significantly to urban waste reduction and CO 2 emissions mitigation by approximately 500 tons monthly. The economic analysis reveals an attractive investment payback period of two years, underscoring the model's viability and its potential as a replicable framework for similar urban settings grappling with waste management crises. The conversion of renewable biomass feedstock into value-added products via bioprocessing platforms has become attractive because of environmental and health concerns. Process performance and cost competitiveness are major factors in the bioprocess design to produce desirable products from biomass feedstock. Proper pretreatment allows delignification and hemicellulose removal from the liquid fraction, allowing cellulose to be readily hydrolyzed to monomeric sugars. Several industrial products are produced via sugar fermentation using either naturally isolated or genetically modified microbes. Ascorbic acid plays a significant role in regulation of various bodily functions with high concentrations in immune cells and being involved in connective tissue maintenance. Commonly it is detected through various colorimetric methods. In this study, we propose a one-step simple method based on the inhibitory activity of ascorbic acid on horseradish peroxidase and hydrogen peroxide. The detection is observed by colorimetric changes to TMB (3,3',5,5' tetramethylbenzidine). The enzyme inhibition unit was optimized with a high level of linearity (r 2  = 0.9999) and the level of detection and level of quantification were found to be 1.35 nM and 4.08 nM, respectively with higher sensitive compared to the HPLC method (11 μM). Both intra and inter-assays showed high correlations at different AA concentrations. (r 2  > 0.9999). Similar results were also observed for vitamin C tablets, ascorbate salts, fruits, and market products (r 2  = 0.999). There was negligible effect of interference by citric acid, lactic acid, tartaric acids, and glucose with high recoveries (>98%) at 1 mg/mL to 0.0078 mg/mL concentration ranges. The recovery error (RE%) was found to be less than 10%. The recent exponential growth of medical tourism has illuminated the essential but relatively unexamined role of medical travel facilitators (MTFs). MTFs play a crucial role in the success of medical tourism by acting as a bridge between patients and healthcare providers. However, there is a lack of understanding and standardization of the competencies needed to excel in this profession. Therefore, this study aims to reveal and categorize the key MTF competencies through a professional competency model. The research methodology involved a combination of competency classification and thematic content analysis, leveraging insights from 30 healthcare experts. The study is processed through a computer-aided analysis to identify 14 distinct themes and 35 MTF competencies. These findings build up an innovative MTF competency model. This novel model extends the understanding of MTF competencies and is a practical tool for individuals aspiring for MTF roles, promoting their professional development. Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus is a group of probiotic strains that have gained popularity for their potential health benefits such as promoting digestive health, boosting the immune system, improving lactose digestion, preventing and treating antibiotic-associated diarrhea, reducing the severity and duration of certain infections, and preventing the formation of dental plaque. In particular, L. rhamnosus strains SD4 and SD11 have promising human and animal health applications due to their ability to inhibit the growth of harmful pathogens. This study presents an in silico genomic analysis of L. rhamnosus strains SD4 and SD11. We analyzed draft genomes and conducted comparative genome analyses against several other probiotic strains, aiming to gain insights into the genomes of the two strains and to compare them to related strains isolated from other sources. We also aimed to clarify the functional mechanisms and adaptation of these strains to specific environments. Di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) is used as a plasticizer in plastics. The effects of DEHP on terrestrial vertebrates have been extensively reported but the effects of DEHP contamination on aquatic ecosystems have not been thoroughly studied. Since water bodies are one of the main mediums through which DEHP is released worldwide, the impacts of DEHP contamination should be manifested in water fleas. Therefore, maternal Moina macrocopa were exposed to 1, 10, 100, and 1000 μg/L concentrations of DEHP. Changes in growth and reproduction were evaluated. The findings demonstrated that DEHP exposure did not have a negative impact on growth or the ability to reproduce. An analysis of the ovary yolk body (YB) demonstrated that the average size and number of yolk bodies (YBs) produced by M. macrocopa exposed to 1000 μg/L DEHP were not significantly different to the average size and number of YBs produced in blank control and solvent control conditions. These outcomes support the cellular pathology data gathered by other researchers. Nevertheless, when M. macrocopa was exposed to 1000 μg/L DEHP for five days, a significant increase in YB numbers was observed with changes in YB morphology. The critical cellular pathology of YB showed morphological abnormalities, including rod-shaped YBs, and YB density was higher than in the blank and solvent controls. Even though these results suggest that antioxidative stress can be induced by DEHP exposure, growth, and reproduction were not significantly different among exposed water fleas compared to fleas in the blank and solvent controls. The result was attributed to the antioxidant response of the water flea. Currently, there is an increasing number of intercultural marriages in Thailand. Many Thai citizens, especially in various regions, tend to marry foreigners. In the southern region, particularly in the three southern border provinces, intercultural marriages mostly occur between Thai Muslim women and Thai Buddhist men. In these cases, the men usually convert to their wives' religion, Islam, which can lead to significant differences in beliefs and practices between the spouses. These differences often result in conflicts within the family and ultimately contribute to domestic violence issues. This situation has serious repercussions for both adults and children involved. This qualitative research examined the acceptance and adjustment of spouses in multicultural families to reduce violent behavioral conflicts in Muang District, Yala Province, Thailand. This study was the first research conducted in the region. To this end, data were collected through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and both participant and non-participant observations. Interview questions and group discussion topics were determined according to research objectives. Further, study samples were collected from multicultural Buddhist-Islamic families using the purposive sampling method. Thematic analysis was employed to analyze data. Results revealed that individuals' intolerance of each other's beliefs and attitudes was the major cause of violence in multicultural families. The values, beliefs, concepts, and attitudes of married couples are shaped by their primary and secondary socialization based on their cultural foundations. Therefore, spouses in multicultural families accept and adjust themselves holistically to reduce violent behavioral conflicts in their family life. Their acceptance includes: (1) physical acceptance and adjustment; (2) mental acceptance and adjustment; (3) social acceptance and adjustment; and (4) spiritual acceptance and adjustment. Purpose: Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB) is an urgent concern to public health. This study focuses on exploring the resistance mechanisms and the in vitro results of using rifampicin in combination with conventional antibiotics for the management of CRAB., Methods: The synergistic and bactericidal effects of rifampicin with conventional antibiotics were evaluated using chequerboard assay and time-kill assay, while the phenotypic and genotypic characteristics of resistant determinants were performed by efflux pump detection and whole genome sequencing on 29 isolates from ICU patients with underlying health diseases., Results: The isolates showed multidrug resistance, with over 60% showing addictive responses to rifampicin-based combinations at FICI ranging from 0.6 to 0.8. The time-kill assay revealed 99 % killing for rifampicin and minocycline combination in one isolate at 1/4 MIC rifampicin plus 1/4 MIC minocycline, while a bacteriostatic effect was observed at 1/2 MIC rifampici plus 1/2 MIC for a second isolate. Combination with tigecycline resulted in a 99% killing in two out of three isolates with a 2.5-3 log reduction in CFU at 1/4 MIC rifampicin plus 1/4 MIC tigecycline. Rifampicin plus colistin exhibited bactericidal activity against three out of four isolates. The combinations of rifampicin with ciprofloxacin, chloramphenicol, and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole were ineffective against the isolates. In addition, a 4-fold reduction in rifampicin MIC was observed in 2 out of 14 isolates in the presence of an efflux pump inhibitor. The pan-genome study demonstrated a progressive evolution with an accessory genome estimated to cover 58% of the matrix. Seven of the ten sequenced isolates belong to sequence type 2 (ST2), while one isolate each was assigned to ST164, ST16, and ST25. Furthermore, 11 plasmids, 34 antimicrobial resistance (AMR) genes, and 65 virulence-associated genes were predicted from the whole genome data. The bla OXA-23 bla ADC-25 , bla OXA-66 were prevalent among the isolates. The butterflyfishes (Chaetodontidae), emblematic inhabitants of coral reef environments, encompass the majority of known coralivorous species and show one of the highest hybridization rates known among vertebrates, making them an important evolutionary model. The vast knowledge about their life history and phylogenetic relationships contrasts with scarce information on their karyotype evolution. Aiming to expand the cytogenetic data of butterflyfishes and evaluate their karyotype evolution in association with evolutionary aspects, we conducted an extensive cytogenetic analysis in 20 species ( Heniochus pleurotaenia and 19 Chaetodon spp.) from the Atlantic and Indo-Pacific regions, comparing the karyotype macrostructure and the arrangement of the 18S and 5S rDNA repetitive DNA classes in their chromosomes. The results demonstrate that butterflyfishes underwent a period of karyotypic stasis, as evidenced by their homoploid and structurally identical basal karyotype, which has 2n = 48 acrocentric chromosomes and is shared by 90% of species. Only C. trifascialis (2n = 48; FN = 50) and C. andamanensis (2n = 48; FN = 52) stood out because they both had karyotypes that diverged due to pericentric inversions. The microstructural arrays of 18S rDNA and 5S rDNA sequences were primarily comprised by single and independent loci on homologous chromosomes, indicating that there was little reshuffling among sets of orthologue chromosomes of species. Geographical comparisons revealed similar karyotypes between individuals of C. striatus from the Greater Caribbean and those of the coast of Brazil, corroborating previous data of gene flow through Amazon/Orinoco plume. Medicinal plants have long been a source of lead compounds for drug discovery. Among these, the Annonaceae family has gained recognition for its potential to yield novel compounds, particularly those that can be used in the development of drugs targeting chronic diseases like diabetes mellitus (DM). We employed various chromatographic methods to isolate bioactive compounds from the roots, leaves, and twigs of Uvaria dulcis Dunal. We used spectroscopic methods to determine the chemical structures of these compounds. We successfully identified twelve known compounds from various parts of U. dulcis : patchoulenon, polygochalcone, 2'3'-dihydroxy-4',6'-dimethoxydihydrochalcone, 2',3'-dihydroxy-4',6'-dimethoxychalcone, chrysin, techochrysin, 8-hydroxy-5,7-dimethoxyflavanone, pinocembrin, 3-farnesylindole, onysilin, cinchonain la, and cinchonain lb. Interestingly, cinchonain la and cinchonain lb exhibited more potent anti-α-glucosidase activity than acarbose (standard drug), with IC 50 values of 11.88 ± 1.41 μg/mL and 15.18 ± 1.19 μg/mL, respectively. Cinchonain la inhibited the DPP-IV enzyme, with IC 50 value lower than the standard compound (diprotin A) at 81.78 ± 1.42 μg/mL. This study investigates the fabrication of a composite film composed of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and glycerol, incorporating nanosilica derived from municipal solid waste incinerator bottom ash (BA). The nanosilica is blended with a PVA film-forming solution containing glycerol as a plasticizer. The composite films are characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Additionally, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) is conducted to evaluate the thermal properties, while the mechanical properties are assessed in terms of tensile strength (TS) and elongation at break (EAB). The results indicate that the presence of silica nanoparticles reduces transparency and increases film thickness in the presence of glycerol. Notably, the film containing 1% silica demonstrates a significant enhancement in tensile strength, exhibiting a 50% increase compared to the film without silica. However, higher silica loadings lead to a deterioration in mechanical properties due to silica agglomeration within the polymer matrix. Red calcified non-geniculate coralline algae (NGCA) provide habitat structures, stabilize reef structures, and foster coral larval settlement and metamorphosis. Moreover, the microbes associated with NGCA are dependent on the NGCA host species and are affected by environmental factors; however, little is known about the influence of reef conditions and depth gradients on the associated microbial communities and NGCA. In this study, we collected NGCA under different reef conditions and depth gradients and characterized the microbial communities using the V3-V4 hypervariable regions of the 16S rRNA gene. Metagenomic analysis revealed 2 domains, 51 phyla, 123 classes, and 210 genera. The NGCA-associated bacterial communities were dominated by Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Chloroflexi, Actinobacteria, and Acidobacteriota. Gammaproteobacteria and Alphaproteobacteria were the most abundant bacterial classes. Differences in microbial diversity and richness were not apparent between reef conditions and depth gradients. However, there was a significant difference in bacterial evenness among the depth gradients. The bacterial abundance associated with NGCA was greater in deep zones than in shallow zones. The shallow zone exhibited a greater relative abundance of all gene functions than the deep zone, indicating differences in the distribution of gene functions. The deep learning method (DLM) is one way to fix issues in optical nonorthogonal multiple access (O-NOMA) systems that are caused by signals that overlap and interfere with each other. NOMA increases the optical framework's spectrum efficiency, allowing several users to share the same time-frequency resources. However, NOMA-DLM-based detection's complicated interference patterns and variable channel conditions are challenging for conventional detection methods to manage. By utilizing deep neural networks' advantages, these methods are able to overcome these challenges and improve detection performance. An overview of the main features and advantages of DLM detection in massive multiple input and output (M-MIMO) O-NOMA systems is given in this article. It describes the essential elements, such as the training procedure and the network design. In order to process the sent symbols or decode data streams, DLM networks are built to process the incoming signal, power allocation coefficients, and extra information. Gradient descent optimization is used to update the network parameters iteratively while training the network, and a diverse and representative dataset is created. Additionally, the challenges of detecting deep learning in O-NOMA systems are examined. It recognizes that in order to get the best results, significant computational resources, a large amount of training data, and careful model design are required. It looks at and compares the 16 × 16, 32 × 32, and 64 × 64 M-MIMO-NOMA models in terms of bit error rate (BER), complexity, and power spectral density (PSD). Background: Bile duct injuries during laparoscopic cholecystectomy can arise from misinterpretation of biliary anatomy, leading to dissection in improper areas. The integration of a deep learning framework into laparoscopic procedures offers the potential for real-time anatomical landmark recognition, ensuring accurate dissection. The objective of this study is to develop a deep learning framework that can precisely identify anatomical landmarks, including Rouviere's sulcus and the liver base of segment IV, and provide a guided dissection line during laparoscopic cholecystectomy., Methods: We retrospectively collected 40 laparoscopic cholecystectomy videos and extracted 80 images form each video to establish the dataset. Three surgeons annotated the bounding boxes of anatomical landmarks on a total of 3200 images. The YOLOv7 model was trained to detect Rouviere's sulcus and the liver base of segment IV as anatomical landmarks. Additionally, the guided dissection line was generated between these two landmarks by the proposed algorithm. To evaluate the performance of the detection model, mean average precision (mAP), precision, and recall were calculated. Furthermore, the accuracy of the guided dissection line was evaluated by three surgeons. The performance of the detection model was compared to the scaled-YOLOv4 and YOLOv5 models. Finally, the proposed framework was deployed in the operating room for real-time detection and visualization., Results: The overall performance of the YOLOv7 model on validation set and testing set were 98.1 % and 91.3 %, respectively. Surgeons accepted the visualization of guide dissection line with a rate of 95.71 %. The topic of microplastics has drawn considerable scholarly interest in recent times. The objective of this study is to provide an overview of the current state of microplastic pollution research in Nepal and to make future research recommendations. To achieve the objective, three popular databases (Web of Science, SCOPUS and Google Scholar) were used. The results showed that the current scenario for microplastic research in Nepal is in its early stage, which commenced in 2020. A total of six papers were recorded over the period from 2020 to 2023. The research conducted in the fields were rivers, lakes, snow, and sediments. Studies have provided evidence of the occurrence of microplastics in diverse aquatic ecosystems. Lakeshore sediments show concentrations of 100.5 ± 58.6 items/kg dry weight, while shoreline sediments of Phewa lake exhibit variability between 55 and 122.5 items/kg. The lake water in winter records 2.96 ± 1.83 Microplastics per Liter (MPs/L), river water indicates 202 ± 100 items/m 3 , and snow demonstrates 30 MP/L. In freshwater ecosystems, microplastics, specifically fibers, were found to be the prevailing type, while fragments were recorded in road dust. The study conducted in Nepal provided evidence of the presence of a wide range of polymers. The polymers encompassed polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyamide, polystyrene (PS), and polyester. Microplastic research in Nepal, initiated in 2020, covered rivers, lakes, snow, and sediments. Diverse aquatic ecosystems reveal microplastic presence, emphasizing the need for continued study and awareness. Many landslides can cause significant damage to infrastructure, property, and human life. To study landslide structure and processes, geophysical techniques are most productive when employed in combination with other survey and monitoring tools, such as intrusive sampling. Here, the integration of electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) and seismic refraction tomography (SRT) methods is used to assess landslides in Thungsong district, Nakhon Si Thammarat, the south of Thailand, where is a hilly and seasons of prolonged rainfall region. The 2D cross-plot analysis of P-wave velocity and resistivity values obtained by these two methods is introduced to identify potential landslide-prone zones in this region. The results of the 2D cross-plot model reveal detailed image of the subsurface conditions, highlighting areas of low P-wave velocity (lower than 600 m/s) and low resistivity (lower than 600 Ωm). These areas are indicative of weak zone and are potential to be sliding materials. Moreover, an intrusive sampling data from boreholes is also used for the calibration and validation geophysical data with geological data. This can improve the accuracy of landslide assessment and develop effective mitigation strategies to reduce the risk of landslides in this area. In addition of the 2D cross-plot, the volume of sliding material is also determined from the difference of the surface and slipping plane elevations. The volume calculation of sliding material is roughly 33447.76 m 3 . Excessive osteoclast-mediated bone resorption is a critical cause of osteoporosis affecting many aging people worldwide. 5'-Methylthioadenosine (MTA) is a natural sulfur-containing nucleoside normally produced in prokaryotes, plants, yeast, and higher eukaryotes via polyamine metabolism. MTA affects various physiological responses particularly the inflammatory pathway in both normal and cancerous cells and modulates the activation of nuclear factor-κB involved in the osteoclastogenesis signalling process. While several studies have reported that natural products possess anti-osteoclastogenesis phenolics and flavonoids, the effect of nucleoside derivatives on osteoclastogenesis remains limited. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the molecular mechanisms by which MTA affects pre-osteoclastic RAW 264.7 cells as a potential alleviation compound for inflammation-mediated bone loss. Osteoclasts were established by incubating RAW264.7 macrophage cells with receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa B ligand (RANKL) and macrophage colony-stimulating factor, the vital cytokines for activation of osteoclast differentiation. Cell viability was measured using MTT assays at 24, 48, and 72 h. The suppressive effect of MTA on RANKL-induced osteoclast differentiation and function was assessed using tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP) analysis, qRT-PCR, and pit formation, Western blot, and immunofluorescence assays. MTA showed dose-dependent anti-osteoclastogenic activity by inhibiting TRAP-positive cell and pit formation and reducing essential digestive enzymes, including TRAP, cathepsin K, and matrix metallopeptidase 9. MTA was observed to suppress the osteoclast transduction pathway through (RANKL)-induced nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NFƘB); it attenuated NFƘB-P65 expression and down-regulated cFos proto-oncogene and nuclear factor of activated T cell c1 (NFATc1), the main regulators of osteoclasts. Moreover, the suppression of RANK (the initial receptor triggering several osteoclastogenic transduction pathways) was observed. The use of renewable energy resources for off-grid electricity production has gained more importance in recent decades for meeting the energy needs of remote areas, even with limited resources. This research aims to provide an optimized and cost-effective approach for generating electricity in rural areas. By using current methodology, a stand alone energy source of PV is designed for development of NZE village. Solar irradiance of the selected location is 6.16 kWh/m 2 /day while the estimated electric load data for whole village is 64.259 kWh. Electric load and solar irradiance of the loaction is used in the Hybrid Optimization Model for Electric Renewable (HOMER) to design and analyze the techno-economic feasibility of the stand alone PV system to meet the load requirements. The study obtained the total Net Present Cost (NPC) of $0.511 M and the Cost Of Electricity (COE) is 2.26$/unit through the HOMER analysis, which is further refined by performing sensitivity analysis using parameters such as PV panel price, battery price, solar irradiance, variations in electric load and discount rates. According to the results, system is feasibile by annual electricity production of 30,078 kWh with initial capital investment of $0.434 M. This analysis compared the system performance and showed that it is economically and technically viable to meet the complete electricity needs of the village with a payback period of 7.2 years. In recent decades, many countries have shown a growing interest in Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) as a potential clean and environmental-friendly means of harnessing coal energy for power generation, and production of hydrogen, diesel fuel, etc. While Bangladesh may have good UCG potential that can be utilized to alleviate the country's current energy scarcity, this avenue has remained completely untapped up to now. In this work, the possibility of UCG implementation in five (05) indigenous discovered coalfields of the country was evaluated for the first time by using the preference selection index (PSI) method. This novel technique was considered to prioritize coalfields for gauging UCG potential. The PSI method is chosen over numerous traditional multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) techniques, because it selects the best alternative from given alternatives without deciding the relative importance between attributes. The study indicated Jamalganj coalfield as the most suitable for implementing the UCG technique with a 93.6% potential. The second priority is Khalaspir coalfield with around 70.0% prospect and the other three coalfields - Dighipara (64.7%), Barapukuria (63.5%), and Phulbari (58.3%) may have UCG suitability in decreasing order of preference. Control of moisture is critical for retention of sealants, which can reduce the incidence of caries in high-risk groups., Objectives: We investigated the safety and efficacy of the novel SS-suction device in the laboratory and a small clinical trial in children aged 6 to 8-years-old., Methods: First, a laboratory test of 52 SS-suction devices was conducted to determine the pressure generated by the chin plate to maintain suction at different intervals and to determine the pressure resistance of the spring to maintain suction in a child's mouth. Second, 12 healthy children with sound lower molars participated in a clinical trial of the use of SS-suction during sealant application., Results: The laboratory test showed that when pressed to the maximum distance of 25 mm, the chin plate produced a pressure of 247.5 ± 116.6 mmHg. At this pressure, the SS-suction could be used safely for up to 120 min without damaging the soft tissues. In the clinical study, the dentists inserted and removed the SS-suction in 7.80 ± 2.48 s. The range by which the chin plate was pressed down varied between 0 and 13 mm. The highest pressure on the skin was 120 mmHg (at 13 mm) and the device effectively maintained suction and effectively removed water and saliva. The time required to apply sealant was 7.01 ± 2.26 min., Conclusions: The SS-suction is a safe, effective device for two-handed application of sealants in children, with no negative side effects., Clinical Significance: We demonstrate the unique SS-suction device can quickly drain water and saliva to help dentists treat young patients using a two-handed approach; this device provides good control of moisture during sealant application. This pilot-scale study of an innovative green extraction method shows increased biomarker content in plant extracts. Moreover, green extraction methods decrease the effects on the environment and human health and promote industrial growth. This study optimized the process conditions to obtain a pentacyclic triterpenoid-rich extract (PRE) from Centella asiatica (L.) Urb., which contains asiatic acid, madecassic acid, asiaticoside, and madecassoside, and evaluated its biological activities. PRE preparation was scaled up from laboratory to pilot scale. In the pilot scale, a combination of microwave-assisted extraction with an irradiation power of 4 kW and an ultrasonic-assisted extraction at 0.55 kW was used for C. asiatica extraction. The total pentacyclic triterpene content was 106.02 mg/g of crude extract. Then, the C. asiatica extract was fractionated by a macroporous resin (Diaion® HP-20). The PRE preparation method used 50% and 75% EtOH fractions. This PRE produced a high content of pentacyclic triterpenoids at 681.12 mg/g of crude extract. It presented a high anti-inflammatory effect with an IC 50 value of 23.88 μg/mL for nitric oxide inhibition and induced wound healing processes (proliferation, migration, and collagen synthesis) in human dermal fibroblast cells. This research investigates the potentials of prodigiosin ( PG ) derived from bacteria and its formulations against triple - negative breast (TNB), lung, and colon cancer cells. The PG was extracted from S. marcescens using continuous batch culture, characterized, and formulated into lyophilized parenteral nanoparticles (PNPs). The formulations were characterized with respect to entrapment efficiency (EE), DSC, FT-IR, TEM, and proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR) spectroscopy. In vitro drug release was evaluated in phosphate buffer (pH 7.4) while acute toxicity, hematological and histopathological studies were performed on rats. The in vitro cytotoxicity was evaluated against TNB (MCF-7), lung (A-549), and colon (HT-29) cancer cell lines. High EE (92.3 ± 12%) and drug release of up to 89.4% within 8 h were obtained. DSC thermograms of PG and PG-PNPs showed endothermic peaks indicating amorphous nature. The FT-IR spectrum of PG-PNPs revealed remarkable peaks of pure PG, indicating no strong chemical interaction between the drug and excipients. The TEM micrograph of the PG-PNPs showed nano-sized formulations (20-30 nm) whose particles were mostly lamellar and hexagonal structures. The 1H NMR result revealed the chemical structure of PG showing all assigned proton chemical shifts. Toxicity results of the PG and its formulation up to a concentration of 5000 mg/kg showed insignificant vacuolar changes of hepatocytes in the liver, with normal renal medulla and cortex in the kidney. In their work, some interesting properties of the graphs such as δ -self-complementary, adjacency, and hamiltonicity were studied. In this work, we study the coloring aspect of the δ -complement graphs. In particular, we provide lower and upper bounds on the product and the summation between the chromatic number and the δ -chromatic number of a graph, in the same fashion as the well-known Nordhaus-Gaddum type relations. Classes of graphs that achieve those bounds are also given. A cascade impactor type sampler equipped with an inertial filter was used to collect size-segregated particles down to ultrafine particles (UFPs or PM 0.1 ) on Batam Island in Sumatra, Indonesia, bordered by Singapore and Malaysia during a wet and the COVID-19 pandemic season in 2021. Carbonaceous species, including organic carbon (OC) and elemental carbon (EC), were analyzed by a thermal/optical carbon analyzer to determine the carbon species and their indices. The average UFP was 3.1 ± 0.9 μg/m 3 , which was 2-4 times lower than in other cities in Sumatra during the same season in the normal condition. The PMs mass concentration was largely affected by local emissions but long-range transportation of particles from Singapore and Malaysia was also not negligible. The air mass arrived at the sampling site passed the ocean, which introduced out clean air with a low level of PMs. The backward trajectory of the air mass and the largest fraction of OC2 and OC3 in all sizes was identified as being transported from the 2 above countries. OC is the dominant fraction in TC and the ratio of carbonaceous components indicated that origin of all particle sizes was predominantly vehicle emissions. UFPs were dominantly emitted from vehicles exhaust emission, while coarser particles (>10 μm) were influenced by the non-exhaust emissions, such as tire wear. Other particles (0.5-1.0; 1.0-2.5; and 2.5-10 μm) were slightly affected by biomass burning. With the aim of exploring the possibility of achieving a low-cost thermal spray coating to prevent wear, erosion and corrosion. In the current study, flyash-Al 2 O 3 and flyash-SiC composite coatings were effectively created using the air plasma spray process on substrates of Al6061 alloy. NiCr material is used as the bond coat to improve the bond strength between the coat and the substrate. Taguchi's DoE method is applied to for spray process parameters optimization. In addition, the developed coating is subjected to microstructure analysis and long-term immersion corrosion testing (1 year) in an aqueous environment to assess corrosion properties. The results revealed that the over a certain test period, the developed flyash-SiC coating has greater corrosion resistance than the uncoated and flyash-Al 2 O 3 coated Al6061. It is noticed that the corrosion resistance of the flyash-Al 2 O 3 coating shifts to a negative value with respect to the uncoated substrate. The uncoated sample is extensively pitted and locally corroded, as shown by the SEM image of the corroded surface. Flyash-corroded Al 2 O 3 's surface exhibits extensive degradation in the form of peeling, breaking, and cracking of the splats. Diabetes remains a global public health threat because of its increasing prevalence and mortality, especially in people under the age of 25. Metformin hydrochloride (HCl), as recommended by American Diabetes Association in 2022, is the first-line therapy for type 2 diabetes in adults. Metformin has low oral bioavailability due to poor permeability. Therefore, by developing metformin HCl oral in situ gel, sustained delivery of metformin can be achieved, thus enhancing the absorption of the drug. Sodium alginate and pectin were used for formulating the system. Different adjuvant polymers, including HPMC K4M, HPMC K100 LV, PEG 4000, and SCMC were used as released-pattern-modifying agents. All formulations could afloat in 0.1 N HCl at the pH of 1.2 within a minute and stay afloat for over 8 h. The optimized formulation could be made from either sodium alginate (2%) and HPMC K4M (0.5%) or pectin (2%) and HPMC K4M (2%). The optimized formulations gradually released metformin HCl with a cumulative release of 80% within 8 h. Many of the current atmospheric environmental problems facing Thailand are linked to air pollution that is largely derived from biomass burning. Different parts of Thailand have distinctive sources of biomass emissions that affect air quality. The main contributors to atmospheric particulate matter (PM), especially the PM 2.5 fraction in Thailand, were highlighted in a recent study of PM derived from biomass burning. This review is divided into six sections. Section one is an introduction to biomass burning in Thailand. Section two covers issues related to biomass burning for each of the four main regions in Thailand, including Northern, Northeastern, Central, and Southern Thailand. In northern Thailand, forest fires and the burning of crop residues have contributed to air quality in the past decade. The northeast region is mainly affected by the burning of agricultural residues. However, the main contributor to PM in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region is motor vehicles and crop burning. In Southern Thailand, the impact of agoindustries, biomass combustion, and possible agricultural residue burning are the primary sources, and cross-border pollution is also important. The third section concerns the effect of biomass burning on human health. Finally, perspectives, new challenges, and policy recommendations are made concerning improving air quality in Thailand, e.g., forest fuel management and biomass utilization. Objective: The purpose of this study was to (i) synthesize and develop an alkynyloxy derivative of lawsone as an antifungal spray and (ii) assess the antifungal spray's effectiveness in reducing the viability of Candida albicans ( C. albicans ) on polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) specimens., Methods: Lawsone methyl ether (LME) and its derivative, 2-(prop-2-ynyloxy)naphthalene-1,4-dione (compound 1 ) were synthesized and characterized. The synthetic compounds were screened for antimicrobial activities against C. albicans using the microtiter broth dilution method to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum fungicidal concentration (MFC). Compound 1 was further formulated as an antifungal spray in three concentrations (100, 200, and 400 μg/mL). C. albicans biofilms were developed for 48 h on PMMA specimens. The efficacy of using an antifungal spray for 1 and 3 min to remove biofilm was assessed using colony counting and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Chlorhexidine gluconate (CHX), polident®, and distilled water were used as positive and negative control cleansing solutions, respectively., Results: LME and compound 1 showed comparable inhibition against C. albicans with a MIC of 25 μg/mL and MFC of 50 μg/mL. For immediate treatment, C. albicans was not detected on PMMA specimens when expose to 2% CHX and compound 1 (100, 200, and 400 μg/mL) antifungal spray for 3 min. However, after recolonization, a small number of viable cells were observed in denture soaked in compound 1 antifungal spray for 3 min group. Following recolonization, polident® and distilled water had comparable viable cell counts of C. albicans to the no treatment group. COVID-19 has accelerated the adoption of online teaching and learning modes. It has also abruptly changed the traditional teaching and learning methods that originally relied on physical attendance, including student internships. In-house training programs were launched by the university to offer students an alternative to their regular internships. The study is designed to investigate how university students in tourism and hospitality education perceive the usefulness of their in-house training in absence of industry placements. An exploratory methodological approach was adopted by conducting 25 semi-structured in-depth interviews with student interns to understand their experiences during the in-house training. The empirical findings revealed that the in-house program, in its current state, is not to be considered a permanent alternative for tourism and hospitality undergraduate students.
