The present work provides to treat real oily saline wastewater released from drilling oil sites by the use of electrocoagulation technique. Aluminum tubes were utilized as electrodes in a concentric manner to minimize the concentrations of 113400 mg TDS/L, 65623 mg TSS/L, and the ions of 477 mg HCO3/L, 102000 mg Cl/L and 5600 mg Ca/L presented in real oily wastewater under the effect of the operational parameters (the applied current and reaction time) by making use of the central composite rotatable design. The final concentrations of TDS, TSS, HCO3, Cl, and Ca that obtained were 93555 ppm (17.50%), 11011 ppm (83.22%), 189ppm (60.38%), 80000ppm (22%), and 4200 ppm (25%), respectively, under the optimum values of the operational parameters (1.625 Amps and 40 min). In spite of the low removal percentages of some pollutants, the present study proved the ability of this novel designed reactor for treating high saline real oily wastewater in accordance with the operational parameters. This prove the capability of the use of it as a pre-treatment of other conventional methods.

Hummus provides an ideal environment for microbial growth. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the effect of high-pressure processing (HPP) on i) microbial safety/quality, ii) physical/chemical properties, and iii) sensory characteristics of hummus. Uninoculated and hummus inoculated with Salmonella spp., Escherichia coli O157:H7, and Listeria monocytogenes were subjected to HPP at 350 MPa for 1-5 min. After treatment, the D-value of the pathogens was calculated and uninoculated samples were stored for up to 28 d at 4 and 10 °C and total microbial counts (TMC) were enumerated. Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS), colour, textural and rheological properties and sensory characteristics of hummus were also analysed. The D 10 -value for Salmonella spp., E. coli O157:H7 spp. and L. monocytogenes were 2.10 ± 0.13, 1.48 ± 0.08, and 3.77 ± 0.36 min, respectively. As compared to the control, HPP for 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 min instantly decreased TMC on average by 0.7, 1.2, 1.6, 1.4 and 1.8 log cfu/g, respectively. The shelf life of hummus in this study after an HPP treatment of 350 MPa for 2-5 min was 28 d at 4 o C and one week at 10 °C, while it was 14 d and 7 d in the control samples, respectively. HPP decreased TBARS but did not significantly change hummus lightness, greenness, and yellowness. HPP enhanced the gel strength and viscoelastic properties of hummus without compromising its sensory qualities. In this analysis, Sutterby fluid model over a curved surface is considered. The main mechanisms that contribute to the improvement of the convection characteristics of the nanofluid are categorized as Brownian motion and thermophoresis. The radiation and slip mechanism have been studied at curved stretchable surface. The suction/injection impacts also studied. The partial differential equations are converted into ordinary differential equations through transformations. The numerical solution of the specified mathematical model is obtained using the built-in bvp4c tool in MATLAB. The effects of various parameters related to the system of ordinary differential equations are illustrated in the graphs. Objective: The prevalence of dental caries among children in Indonesia remains unclear. Therefore, we aimed to provide an updated assessment of this prevalence while also investigating the influence of patient characteristics and methodological factors., Design: We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis, including searches of PubMed, Cochrane Library, and Embase from inception to August 24, 2023. We included 8840 participants in 27 studies reporting the prevalence of dental caries among Indonesian children., Results: The overall prevalence of dental caries was 76 % (95 % confidence interval: 71%-81 %). Studies in which decay-missing-filled teeth (DMFT) criteria were used to diagnose dental caries were significantly more prevalent than studies using non-DMFT criteria (78 % vs. 64 %, P < 0.05). No significant moderators were identified for the study subgroup based on study origin (Jakarta vs. non-Jakarta) or comorbidity status (comorbidity vs. no comorbidity). Owing to incomplete reporting of variables, metaregression analysis could not be conducted for continuous variables, such as age and male percentage., Conclusions: The prevalence of dental caries among Indonesian children remains notably high, showing consistency across Jakarta-based studies and non-Jakarta studies. Based on the notion of class of C G simulation functions, we launch the concept of ( ρ , ϑ ) - Z G -contraction on the setting of w -distance mappings. We employ our new concept to formulate and prove several fixed point results over the complete metric spaces. Also, we provide some concrete examples to show the usability of the obtained results. Furthermore, we study the existence of a unique solution of nonlinear fractional differential equations, nonlinear integral equations and spring-mass system problems. In this study, we considered the flow of a micropolar fluid over a vertical Riga sheet. The non linear stretching sheet is considered. The effects of variable thermal conductivity and radiation on the Riga sheet are taken into account. Additionally, we also debated the Brownian motion and thermophoretic. To simplify the partial differential equations, we converted them into dimensionless ordinary differential equations using suitable similarity variables and solved dimensionless system numerically using the bvp4c function. The impact of some intended parameters on the dimensionless velocity, microrotation, temperature, and concentration distributions graphically are presented and the numerical outcomes of physical quantities like skin friction, Nusselt number, Sherwood number, and couple stress have been presented in tabular form. The micropolar parameter increased which increased the couple stress and friction at surface. Because, the fluid rotation increased which increased friction at surface and also increased the couple stress. The transfer of mass decayed and transfer of heat heightened by larger values of variable thermal conductivity. In this analysis, the generalized Fourier and Fick's law for Second-grade fluid flow at a slendering vertical Riga sheet is examined along with thermophoresis and Brownian motion effects. Boundary layer approximations in terms of PDE's (Partial Differential Equations) are used to build the mathematical model. An appropriate transformation has been developed by using the Lie symmetry method. PDE's (Partial Differential Equations) are transformed into ODE's (Ordinary Differential Equations) by implementing the suitable transformation. A numerical method called bvp4c is used to explain the dimensionless system (ODE's). Graphs and tables are used to interpret the impact of the significant physical parameters. The curves of temperature function declined due to enchanting the values of the thermophoresis Parameter. The temperature is produced at a low level due to enchanting the values of thermophoresis because this force transports burn at a low 10 μm diameter so the temperature becomes lessor. Increments of thermophoresis parameter which enhanced the values of concentration Function. As the concentration boundary layer increased which declined the mass transfer due increment in thermophoresis. The curves of temperature function are increasing due to enhancing the values of the Brownian parameter because addition in the Brownian motion, improved the movement of particles ultimately increasing the kinematic energy of fluid which improved the heat transfer phenomena. This study aims to determine the effect of global price movements for energy sector commodities, especially Crude Oil and Natural Gas Prices, on cryptocurrency price movements. This study focuses more on the Bitcoin cryptocurrency. This study uses quantitative methods, and the data collection used is secondary data with weekly data and the period from January 1, 2020-July 31, 2021. The number of observations used in this study amounted to 79 observations. Secondary data sources are obtained through the website finance.yahoo.com. The data processing technique will be carried out using Stata and SPSS software, the Multiple Linear Regression method, and the Classical Assumption Test. The results of this study show that global prices for energy sector commodities, especially Crude Oil, Natural Gas, have a positive effect on Bitcoin price movements. Purpose: The prevalence of anogenital warts caused by HPV has been on the rise in the war-torn country of Syria recently. Although physically mildly symptomatic, this disease has a considerable negative psychological effect on patients. This study showed up to reveal information on the quality of life (QoL) of these patients and its connection to age, gender, disease severity, educational level and marital status., Methods: The study sample consisted of 57 males and 45 females aged between 18 and 64 years old. The patients were recruited from the main university hospital in Latakia, Syria. The assessment was done using two questionnaires: EQ-5D and CECA10., Results: The data from the EQ-5D revealed no problems in Mobility, Self-care or Usual Activities. Whereas, our study showed extreme levels of anxiety and depression in roughly 50% of the sample. A noticeable impact was seen in 31% of participants describing moderate pain and discomfort. The CECA10 questionnaire revealed an average of disease-specific QoL of 2.48 which indicates a moderate to severe impact. We noticed a statistically significant relationship between the QoL and the patient's age. The age group of 20-29 has suffered the most. Without statistical significance, the psychological burden was at its worst in single patients with severe disease and a high level of education.
