Abstract

An essay is presented which addresses the the impacts that employment regulations have on companies' firing costs, efforts to reduce their demand for labor, and youth employment rates in the U.S. American labor markets and the hiring of workers are mentioned, along with job opportunities for young people in America. Other topics include minimum wage laws, monopolies, and neoclassical economic theory. Labor supply and demand in the U.S. and age discrimination statutes are also examined.
