This article reports that U.S. hospitals and health care systems are establishing strategic goals for supplier diversity as part of their effort to increase diversity and promote inclusion. Topics discussed include the business diversity office launched by the University of Chicago Medicine in 2002, the supplier diversity program of Saint Francis Care in Hartford, Connecticut, and the conduct by Grady Health System of quarterly analysis to track progress toward its supplier diversity goal.
