Abstract

This is the first report of a facile synthesis of thiazolines and thiazines from a self-catalyzed, water assisted tandem S-alkylation-cyclodeamination reaction of thioamides/haloamines. The reaction is clean and efficient with simple product work-up, and is applicable to a variety of substrates. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
