Anew polyfunctional heat-resistant coating for protection from high-temperature gas corrosion (up to 900°C) swas synthesized based on glass in the system BaO–B2O3–SiO2. The synthesized heat-resistant polyfunctional coating has enhanced resistance to high-temperatures and high dielectric properties, thereby making it polyfunctional. The bonding strength of an enamel reaction-cured coating on the heat-resistant nickel alloy VZh171 was investigated by means of sclerometry. The threshold load required for cracks to appear in a coating was determined. The values obtained are high for this type of material and correspond to the level typical for chromium and nickel coatings. The results of a microstructural analysis of the tested samples are also presented. The defects arising in each incremental load zone are described in detail. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
