The article discusses the lithospheric deformation of oceanic plates at the equatorial Indian Ocean. The diffuse oceanic plate boundary between the Indian and Capricorn plates was investigated. Research revealed that plate reconstructions and deformations were largely settled due to seismic reflection profiles at the area. The surface uplift at the Tibetan Plateau was also explored wherein the uplift reached a maximum elevation. An estimated pole of rotation of the Indian plate with respect to the Capricorn plate was estimated through compact confidence limits.
