A large amount of distal skarn Pb–Zn deposits without any causative intrusions exposed have been discovered along the eastern Nyainqêntanglha metallogenic belt (NMB) in the Gangdese region, Tibet, China. As a typical distal skarn Pb–Zn deposit in the east of NMB, the Mengya'a deposit is adjacent to the Longmala Pb–Zn ± Cu ± Fe deposit. However, the linkage between these two deposits is not unclear due to the chaotic dating results. In situ Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (LA‐ICP‐MS) U–Pb dating of reddish‐brown and yellow‐green garnet from Mengya'a yielded lower intersect ages of 53.6 ± 3.1 and 52.4 ± 4.4 Ma, respectively, indicating that Pb–Zn mineralization took place during the main collision stage of the India–Asia plates. The δDSMOW values of garnet, quartz and calcite vary from −148.4‰ to −140.4‰, −123.5‰ to −115.3‰ and −127.9‰ to −121.3‰, with the δ18OH2O values ranging from 5.8‰ to 6.6‰, 0.4‰ to 3.7‰ and 1.0‰ to 1.7‰, respectively. The δ13CV‐PDB and δ18OSMOW values of calcite range from −8.2‰ to −4.7‰ and 9.8‰ to 18.6‰, respectively. These C–H–O isotopic compositions of hydrothermal minerals indicate that the ore‐forming fluids were initially derived from the magmatic water with progressive input of meteoric water from the prograde stage to the retrograde stage. The 87Sr/86Sr(53 Ma) ratios of sphalerite (0.72321–0.73474) are consistent with those of Ando gneiss in the Lhasa‐Golmud area, indicating that the basement gneiss makes a great contribution for the source of ore‐forming materials. The newly obtained garnet U–Pb ages at Mengya'a are consistent with those of mineralization and causative intrusion in the Longmala Pb–Zn ± Fe ± Cu deposit, suggesting that the Mengya'a and Longmala deposits constitute an integrated distal skarn‐type system. This proposed hypothesis suggests that the Fe–Cu ± Pb ± Zn mineralization within the contact zone should focus on the locations beneath the identified Pb–Zn orebodies at Longmala and Pb‐21 orebody at Mengya'a. The tectonic transition from oceanic subduction to continental collision is a fundamental process during orogenesis, yet the nature of such transition and associated deep geodynamic processes for the Tibetan Plateau are still controversial. The long‐lived magmatism of the Gangdese Belt of southern Tibet provides an excellent opportunity to study the tectonic transition from subduction of the Neo‐Tethys oceanic lithosphere to the continental collision between Indian and Asian plates. We present zircon U–Pb–Hf isotopes, whole‐rock geochemistry, and Sr–Nd isotopes for the intrusions from Maizhokunggar, southern Lhasa Terrane. The zircon U–Pb dating indicates that two episodes of magmatism occurred in the Maizhokunggar region, ca. 70 Ma diorites and ca. 60 Ma granitoids. The ca. 70 Ma diorites are medium‐K calc‐alkaline and characterized by pronounced high‐field‐strength element depletion and light rare earth element enrichment, similar to arc‐type rocks. They have homogeneous (87Sr/86Sr)i ratios (0.70378–0.70424) and εNd(t) values (+2.6 to +3.4), and εHf(t) (+5.9 to +13.0) with relatively young depleted mantle model ages (307–762 Ma), suggesting that they were generated from the juvenile mafic lower crust induced by the underplating of basaltic magmas from depleted mantle wedge. The ca. 60 Ma granitoids, Kajiacun (KJC) granodiorites, and Qulongxue (QLX) and Bangdacun (BDC) monzogranites are high‐K series and metaluminous to weakly peraluminous. The KJC granodiorites with high Sr/Y ratios (25–43) are adakitic and were likely derived from partial melting of a thickened lower crust. The BDC monzogranites have more evolved Sr–Nd–Hf isotopes and older Nd–Hf model ages than the QLX monzogranites. These geochemical variations were mainly controlled by the fractionation crystallization with assimilation of ancient crustal materials. We propose that at ca. 70 Ma, the subduction of the Neo‐Tethys oceanic slab triggered the partial melting of the juvenile lower crust and formed the diorites with arc affinity, and then the initial collision (>60 Ma) between the Indian and Asian plates caused locally thickened lower crust, resulting in adakitic granodiorites. Our study sheds light on the lithospheric scale magma evolution from the deep mantle to the shallow crust during the critical geodynamic transition to collision, and early uplift. A Mesoproterozoic granite covering about 5 km2 is firstly recognized in the Zhusileng area, which is located between the northern Alxa Block and the South Gobi microcontinent. New geochronological data from this area provide new insight for understanding the Precambrian crustal evolution of the middle segment of the southern Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB). Based on the crystal shapes, internal textures, and high Th/U ratios, the zircons from this Mesoproterozoic granite are interpreted as magmatic origin. Meanwhile, LA‐ICP‐MS zircon U–Pb dating shows that it was emplaced at 1458 ± 7.5 Ma. Published geochronological data and Sr–Nd isotopic compositions of igneous rocks from the Zhusileng area and its vicinity are also compiled in this study. The Late Palaeozoic granitoids from the Zhusileng area have strongly negative εNd(t) values (−0.1 to −10.8), high (87Sr/86Sr)i (0.69657–0.73423) and old Nd model ages (0.9–1.8 Ga), suggesting the existence of Precambrian microcontinent in the Zhusileng area. Furthermore, the statistical analysis (or isotopic mapping) of Sr–Nd isotopic compositions of Palaeozoic granitoids from the middle segment of the southern CAOB also displays similar εNd(t) values and relatively old Nd model ages along the Hanshan Block, Zhusileng, Tsaggan Uul terrane, and Hutag Uul terrane. The Tan–Lu Fault zone (TLFZ) is the largest fault zone in eastern China and a typical and representative structure of the Circum–Pacific tectonic domain. The Late Mesozoic tectonic evolution of the TLFZ is greatly significant, since it revealed the Jurassic–Cretaceous tectonic evolution of eastern China and the subduction history of the Palaeo–Pacific Plate. However, its tectonic evolution in the Early Cretaceous remains controversial. Based on geological mapping, microstructural analysis, and LA–ICP–MS zircon U–Pb dating, we constrained the deformation history of the Feidong Segment of the TLFZ in the Early Cretaceous. Results showed that the Feidong Segment of the TLFZ experienced a strong sinistral strike–slip movement at the beginning of the Early Cretaceous (~143 Ma); it was subsequently subjected to normal faulting during the Early Cretaceous (135–102 Ma), which controlled the strong magmatic activities within the Feidong area. At the end of the Early Cretaceous (~100 Ma), a weak sinistral strike–slip movement occurred again along the TLFZ. The deformation temperatures of the two sinistral strike–slip shearing stages were 500–550°C and 400–450°C, respectively. The regional comparison indicated that the Early Cretaceous tectonic evolution of the TLFZ was actually the epitome of the contemporaneous tectonic evolution of eastern China and was the result of strain localization in the Cretaceous tectonic framework of eastern China. The microgranular enclaves (MEs) and their host granitoids contain vital information on the genesis and evolution of the magma, especially for those which have close relationship with mineralization, yet remains a hot debate on their origin. Here, we investigate the MEs and their host granitoids in the Shuangjianzishan (SJZ) deposits, southern Great Hinggan Range, NE China, using ziron U–Pb dating and Hf isotopes, along with a systematic analysis of whole‐rock geochemical and Sr‐Nd isotopic compositions. The SJZ MEs mainly consist of monzonites and quartz monzonites, and the SJZ granitoids comprise a suite of fine‐grained syenogranites and coarse‐grained monzogranites. The zircon U–Pb dating results suggest that the SJZ granitoids and the SJZ MEs were emplaced at approximately 143–141 Ma. Geochemical features and isotopic compositions of the SJZ granitoids indicate that they are mainly generated by partial melting of juvenile lower‐crustal basaltic rocks. The fine‐grained syenogranites and the coarse‐grained monzogranites have a gradual contact relationship, similar crystallization age, Sr‐, Nd‐, and Hf‐isotopic compositions, suggesting that they were derived from a similar silicic magma reservoir. According to the geochemical compositions and petrographic characteristics (aggregates of coarse‐grained euhedral plagioclase crystals) of the SJZ granitoids, we infer that the monzogranites (SiO2 = 69.24–74.95 wt%) are regarded as the residual cumulate and the fine‐grained syenogranites (SiO2 = 74.83–77.97 wt%) are high silica melts segregated from a crystal mush. The SJZ MEs are characterised by low SiO2 (50.03–64.20 wt%) and MgO (1.08–2.63 wt%) contents, high P2O5 contents and contain acicular apatite, which are consistent with the products of intermediate magma. Combining with the MEs have comparable crystallization age, mineral assemblage, whole‐rock Sr‐Nd and zircon Hf‐isotopic compositions with their host granitoids, implying the MEs were autoliths related to their host monzogranites. Collectively, we infer that the SJZ MEs were generated by the rapid cooling and crystallization of the hot ascending intermediate magmas contacted with the cooler wall rocks, then those sub‐solid fine‐grained crystal‐rich margins were fragmented and injected into the progressive evolved mush chamber, leading to the extraction and upward percolation of high silicic melts from the compacting crystal‐rich mush in the shallow crust. Calc‐alkaline granitoid intrusions with abundant mafic microgranular enclaves (MMEs) are widespread in the East Kunlun orogenic belt (EKOB). Here, we present petrological observations, zircon U–Pb ages, whole‐rock geochemical, and Sr–Nd–Hf isotopic data for quartz diorites and the MMEs in the Asiha gold ore deposit in the EKOB, to constrain their petrogenesis and tectonic setting. The laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer 206Pb–238U ages of zircons indicate that the host quartz diorites and their MMEs from the Asiha gold deposit crystallized at 228.4 ± 1.7 Ma and 229.0 ± 1.7 Ma, respectively, which is similar to the gold mineralization age. Whole‐rock geochemical data indicate that the quartz diorites are I‐type granites. The MMEs have εHf(t) values of −7.6 to −0.2, −2.1 on average, whereas those of the quartz diorites range from −3.2 to −0.8, with a mean value of −2.1, which is identical within analytical uncertainty. Moreover, the host quartz diorites and their MMEs have relatively homogeneous Sr–Nd isotopic compositions, with high initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios and low εNd(t) values ranging from 0.70914 to 0.70963 and from −5.9 to −5.5, respectively. In summary, the MMEs and host quartz diorites have similar geochemical characteristics, indistinguishable Sr–Nd–Hf isotopic composition, and almost simultaneous crystallization age. Geochemical evidence shows that they formed due to the mixing of crust‐ and mantle‐derived magmas. Combined with our new results and published geological, geochronological, and geochemical data, this paper proposes that the EKOB had evolved into a post‐collisional environment at about 230–228 Ma, and the host quartz diorites and their MMEs from the Asiha complex formed in the transitional stage from the syn‐collisional to the post‐collisional setting. The South Altyn Block (SAB), located along the southern margin of the Altyn Tagh in Qaidam Basin, has a significant relationship with the tectonics of the Qaidam Basin basement. This study presents the petrological features, geochemical compositions, and zircon U–Pb and Hf isotope data of four granitic plutons from the eastern segment of the SAB to constrain the petrogenesis and tectonic setting of this region during the Palaeozoic. Basing on previous U–Pb dating results, the zircon U–Pb analysis in this study suggests that Palaeozoic magmatic events can be subdivided into four episodes: Late Cambrian (approximately 502 Ma), Late Ordovician (approximately 444 Ma), Early Devonian, and Middle Permian (approximately 271 Ma). The Palaeozoic granitoids were derived mainly from Neoproterozoic juvenile crustal components, with minor palaeoproterozoic ancient materials. The S‐ and I‐type granitoids in Late Cambrian indicate a compressional tectonic environment with respect to subduction, and A‐type granitoids suggest post‐collision regime. The Late Ordovician granodiorites of A‐type imply typical magmatism within a post‐collision extensional setting. Ascribing to the subduction of Palaeo‐Tethys Ocean during the Devonian, S‐type granites were emplaced in the Early Devonian accompanied with the crust thickening. The Middle Permian magmatic events include a series of S‐type granitoids, demonstrating the setting of oceanic subduction along with the closure of the Palaeo‐Tethys Ocean. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
