An inertial iterative algorithm for approximating a point in the set of zeros of a maximal monotone operator which is also a common fixed point of a countable family of relatively nonexpansive operators is studied. Strong convergence theorem is proved in a uniformly convex and uniformly smooth real Banach space. This theorem extends, generalizes and complements several recent important results. Furthermore, the theorem is applied to convex optimization problems and to J-fixed point problems. In this paper, we establish some fixed point results for fuzzy mappings in a complete dislocated b-metric space. Our results generalize and extend the results of Joseph et al. (SpringerPlus 5:Article ID 217, 2016). We also give examples to support our results, and applications relating the results to a fixed point for multivalued mappings and fuzzy mappings are studied. The basic purpose of this article is to define new so-called $\mathcal{S}$-contractions and discuss the presence of common best proximity point theorems for such contractions in the setting of Cauchy metric spaces. We also calculate some common optimal approximate solutions of some fixed point equations when there does not exist any common fixed point. We also introduce the notions of $\mathcal{G_{P}}$-functions and $\mathcal {G_{P}}$-contractions with the help of $\mathcal{P}$-functions and prove the existence of a unique best proximity point in partially order metric spaces. In this paper, we prove some existence theorems of fixed points of a monotone nonexpansive mapping T in a Banach space E with the partial order '≤', where a such mapping may be discontinuous. In particular, in finite dimensional spaces, such a mapping T has a fixed point in E if and only if the sequence $\{T^{n}0\}$ is bounded in E. In order to find a fixed point of such a mapping T, we prove the weak convergence of the Mann iteration scheme under the condition $\sum_{n=1}^{\infty}\beta_{n}(1-\beta_{n})=\infty$, which entails $\beta _{n}=\frac{1}{n+1}$ as a special case. In this paper, we state and prove Wardowski type fixed point theorems in metric space by using a modified generalized F-contraction maps. These theorems extend other well-known fundamental metrical fixed point theorems in the literature (Dung and Hang in Vietnam J. In this paper, we introduce the two new concepts of an α-type almost- F-contraction and an α-type F Suzuki contraction and prove some fixed point theorems for such mappings in a complete metric space. We prove some strong convergence theorems for fixed points of modified Ishikawa and Halpern iterative processes for a countable family of hemi-relatively nonexpansive mappings in a uniformly convex and uniformly smooth Banach space by using the hybrid projection methods. The aim of this paper is to improve conditions proposed in recently published fixed point results for complete and compact fuzzy metric spaces (Ćirić in Chaos Solitons Fractals 42:146-154, 2009; Shen et al. in Appl.
