Abstract

The article focuses on a study from mBlox which reveals that 80 percent of respondents said that they would share location date to push notifications or receive short message service (SMS) for discount coupons. It also reveals that 57 percent of worldwide respondents preferred SMS and push campaign over mobile marketing. The study highlights the need to use consumer preference and location data in the design of effective mobile approaches.
