We have estimated parallel and perpendicular components of electrical conductivity and shear viscosity of quark matter at finite magnetic field and temperature by using their one-loop Kubo expressions in the framework of Nambu–Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model. At finite magnetic field, a non-trivial medium dependence of those quantities can be found. Previously these NJL-profiles have been addressed in relaxation time approximation, where cyclotron motion of quarks with medium dependent mass plays the key role. With respect to the earlier estimations, the present work provides further enriched profiles via Kubo framework, where field theoretical descriptions of quark transport with medium dependent mass and (Landau) quantized energy have been identified as the key ingredients. Hence the present study can be considered as the complete quantum field theoretical description of the transport coefficients in the framework of NJL model at finite temperature and magnetic field. In the present work, we have studied heavy quarkonia potential in hot and magnetized quark gluon plasma. Inverse magnetic catalysis (IMC) effect is incorporated within the system through the magnetic field modified Debye mass by modifying the effective quark masses. We have obtained the real and imaginary part of the heavy quark potential in this new scenario. After the evaluation of the binding energy and the decay width we comment about the dissociation temperatures of the heavy quarkonia in presence of magnetic field. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We find a general expression for the one-loop self-energy function of neutral $$\rho $$ -meson due to $$\pi ^+\pi ^-$$ intermediate state in a background magnetic field. The pion propagator used in this expression was given by Schwinger; it is valid for arbitrary magnitudes of this field. Restricting our study to weak fields, we calculate the decay rate $$\Gamma (\rho ^0 \rightarrow \pi ^+ +\pi ^-)$$ , which changes negligibly from the vacuum value. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Based on transversality condition of gauge boson self-energy we have systematically constructed the general structure of the gauge boson two-point functions using four linearly independent basis tensors in presence of a nontrivial background i.e. hot magnetized material medium. The hard thermal loop approximation has been used for the heat bath to compute various form factors associated with the gauge boson's two point functions both in strong and weak field approximation. We have also analyzed the dispersion of a gauge boson (e.g., gluon) using the effective propagator both in strong and weak magnetic field approximation. The formalism is also applicable to QED. The presence of only thermal background leads to a longitudinal (plasmon) mode and a two fold degenerate transverse mode. In presence of a hot magnetized background medium the degeneracy of the two transverse modes is lifted and one gets three quasiparticle modes. In weak field approximation one gets two transverse modes and one plasmon mode. On the other hand, in strong field approximation also one gets the three modes in Lowest Landau Level. The general structure of two-point function may be useful for computing the thermo-magnetic correction of various quantities associated with a gauge boson. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
