Highlights: [•] Antarctic fungus Lecanicillium muscarium chitinase production studied on shrimp and crab wastes. [•] The fungus produced quite high levels of enzymes on shrimp wastes. [•] Production of enzymes was optimized in bioreactor by RSM. [•] Optimized bioprocess in bioreactor yielded 137% more than that in shaken flasks.
