Many different systems have been used for space heating from the past to the present. Today, due to climate change, the search for low-emission heating systems is increasing day by day. Developments and advantages in heat pump technology have led to the widespread use of heat pump systems. In this study, the heating of a three-floor villa in Izmir’s Alaçatı district was investigated using various heat pump systems, and performance and emission evaluations were performed. The Heating Solutions Navigator program developed by Daikin was used in the calculation of heat loss loads and performance simulations of the villa designed according to TS 825 standards. As a result of the advantages of the high heat transfer surface in underfloor heating, it was determined that the seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) value in heating was 2.18 times higher than the systems with low temperature radiators. Increasing the efficiency of the heat pump reduces the annual energy consumption by 2052 kWh and reduces the annual CO2 emissions by 804 kg. It is seen that the high price difference in the initial investment cost of the heat pump underfloor heating system can be compensated by the reduction in the operating cost. As a result, although the investment costs of heat pumps are high compared to natural gas, it is seen that they are an advantageous heating system option because they are clean and reliable, especially when they are used with underfloor heating and low temperature radiators.
