Abstract

This article discusses the factors that influence a patient's decision to choose sedation during endoscopy procedures. The study was conducted in Morocco and involved 780 patients. The most common reason for preferring sedation was the fear of pain, and the belief that sedation was necessary for an accurate diagnosis during colonoscopy. Women and those with higher levels of education were more likely to prefer sedation. Patients who underwent colonoscopy without sedation were more likely to prefer a change if they had to repeat the procedure in the future. The study evaluated the efficacy and safety of formalin irrigation in 131 patients, with 76% of patients experiencing complete resolution of symptoms. Abstract

This article, published in the journal Endoscopy, examines the clinicopathological features and outcomes of young adults with gastric cancer. The study, conducted at Mohamed VI University Hospital in Morocco, analyzed data from 63 patients aged 40 or younger at diagnosis.
