- Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze teachers' mobbing perceptions, who are education employees, in terms of certain variables. The study was conducted with 128 teachers who were working in the high schools in Diyarbakir in 2015-2016 academic year. The data was obtained via "teachers' mobbing perception scale" which was developed by the researcher. The scale, which was developed in accordance with the methodology, consists of four sub-scales. These sub-scales are "the effects of mobbing on job performance", "the mobbing perceived by teachers", "fighting against mobbing", and "characteristics of the victim". In the study, in order to analyze the date, "t" test and variance analsis were used. The conclusions of the study are as the following: in terms of gender, male teachers fight more effectively against mobbing than female teachers. in terms of educational background, teachers with a master's degree are more exposed to mobbing. Teachers' mobbing perception scores do not differentiate significantly in terms of their branches. Teachers' scores who work in a school with a female director are significantly higher than those of ones who work in a school with a male director in terms of "fighting against mobbing" subscale. In terms of marital status, single teachers have more mobbing perceptions than those who are married. In terms of seniority, more senior teachers' scores are significantly higher than those of ones who are less senior in terms of "the characteristics of the victim" sub-scale. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
