The paper investigates the capacity of environmental regulatory policies to effectuate carbon emission reduction (CER) at the enterprise micro-level. It delves into the intrinsic correlation between these policies through theoretical analysis and empirical assessments, scrutinising the varied effects of heterogeneous environmental regulations (ERs) such as sewage charges and environmental protection subsidies. Findings reveal that diverse ERs can bolster CER, with sewage charging ERs manifesting a more conspicuous emission reduction effect. Rigorous robustness tests validate these initial conclusions. Moreover, distinct ERs exhibit temporal lags in their impact on CER; sewage charging ERs display a diminishing trend in emission reduction efficacy, while environmental subsidies ERs exhibit dynamic superposition traits. Importantly, incentives for green innovation and enhancements in total factor productivity emerge as pivotal mechanisms by which diverse ERs propel CER within enterprises. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Major crises such as greenhouse effect and resource depletion remind people that environmental protection is imminent. However, the economic growth is always accompanied by the destruction of the environment, so the development of green industry economy is very necessary for the balance between the two. However, many of today's green industry economic development is still in the theoretical stage, and there are no substantive measures. Therefore, this paper aims to build a reasonable development evaluation model for the green industry economy, and use the results of the model to explore the sustainable development of the green industry economy. In view of this, in the stage of proposing the model, this paper refers to a large number of literature and field investigation, and selects 30 suitable evaluation indexes. The experimental results of the green industrial economy in Sichuan Province with the designed model show that the comprehensive evaluation index of green economic development has increased steadily. It reached 0.8255 in 2016, which is in line with the actual situation. Promoting the development of low-carbon economy (LCEco) to protect the environment is an important dimension to enhance national competitiveness and an effective path to achieve high-quality national development. Therefore, based on the endogenous LCEco growth theory, from the two dimensions of financial technology innovation (FTI) and financial product innovation (FPI), using the spatial measurement method of SLM and SEM, using the panel data of 30 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) from 2009 to 2021, this paper deeply explores the impact of FTI and FPI on the development of LCEco. The results show that: FTI and FPI have synergistic effect and positive spatial spillover effect on the LCEco, whose elastic coefficients for them are respectively (–0.125, p < 0.05; –0.084, p < 0.05). Different regions have obvious heterogeneous effects on the FTI, FPI and LCEco, whose elastic coefficients for them are (0.318, p < 0.05; 0.332, p < 0.05). The conclusion not only provides empirical support for the endogenous LCEco growth theory, but also provides effective evidence for the high-quality development path of China's LCEco. With the continuous development of urbanisation, the economic level of rural areas has improved greatly. However, due to the development of industry and the leap in the economy, the rural environment has suffered unprecedented damage. Taking Zhejiang Province as an example, this paper explores the rural environmental pollution control path under the government intervention mechanism. Firstly, it analyses the functions of the government in rural environmental pollution control. Then, taking Huzhou as an example, this paper empirically evaluates the willingness to pay for the treatment of living environment pollution in rural areas of Huzhou based on the CVM (Contingent Valuation Method) and analyses the decentralised domestic sewage treatment mode, multi household domestic sewage treatment mode, and waste collaborative treatment mode from the perspective of treatment technology and policy system. Finally, it is proposed that to speed up the governance of the rural environment, and we must strengthen the administrative intervention of the government in rural environmental governance. The government should improve the environmental protection awareness of leaders at all levels and the masses and enrich farmers' environmental governance knowledge and technical training. Based on the theory of environmental economics, agricultural economics, and decision-making behaviour, this paper analyses the influence mechanism of farmers' decision-making behaviour and government intervention in rural non-point source pollution control. Enhancing the low-carbon effect of green finance development (GFD) is an effective way for China to accelerate the comprehensive deepening of supply side structural reform, better realise the high-quality development of green economy and better protect the environment. Therefore, based on the green technology innovation theory and endogenous growth theory, from the four dimensions of green innovation (GI) in the GLOBIO model, the unbalanced panel data of 8976 manufacturing listed companies from 2009 to 2021 were used. This paper deeply explores the low-carbon effect of GI on the development of green finance (GF) in China's manufacturing industry. The results show that: on the whole, GI based on environmental protection has a significant incentive effect on the low-carbon effect of GFD. Compared with green material innovation and green process innovation, green product design innovation and green equipment innovation have more incentive effect. Further analysis shows that green product design innovation and green equipment innovation can produce incremental effect on the low-carbon effect of green financial development through green material innovation. Under accelerated urbanisation and rapid social and economic development, environmental pollution has become an important content of the construction industry. Therefore, the environmental benefit analysis of green buildings is of great significance to the effective use of energy and resources and to achieve the goal of protecting resources, reducing pollution and improving the ecological environment. The results show that the measured results of incremental environmental costs of the office building in Taiyuan City in land saving, energy saving, water saving, material saving, indoor environmental quality and operation management are decreased by 13.56 %, 11.02 %, 25.17 %, 14.43 %, and 15.25 %, respectively; incremental environmental benefits in land saving, energy saving, water saving, material saving, indoor environmental quality and operation management are increased by 23.15 %, 10.37 %, 19.30 %, 18.25 %, and 22.53 %, respectively. Those suggest that the BIM technology applied to the complete life cycle cost analysis of green buildings can test, measure and guide all the steps of building design, construction and maintenance and largely meet the criteria of resource-saving and energy-saving.
