Abstract

The article discusses modelling biological control of feral cats to protect island species from extinction. Topics discussed include effects of feline viruses Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and Feline Leukemia Virus on eradicating cat population, eradication being possible with Feline Leukemia Virus for low natural immunity, and advantages of feline retroviruses over Feline Panleucopenia Virus (FPV).
