Medical imaging is currently using artificial intelligence-based technologies to aid evaluate diagnostic information images, particularly in enforcing kidney stones. Artificial intelligence technology continues to develop, many studies show that deep learning is more widely used compared to traditional machine learning, so an Artificial intelligence system is needed to assist the accuracy of health diagnoses, thus helping in the field of radiology health. The aim of the research is to use artificial intelligence with deep learning models to help detect abnormalities in the kidneys. This research method is a literature review of Scopus data related to deep learning in medical imaging in detecting kidney stones. The results of using Artificial Intelligence in medical imaging can be used in diagnosing diseases including detecting Covid-19, musculoskeletal, calcium scores on Cardiac CT, liver tumors, urinary tract lesions, examination of the abdomen and kidney stones. Utilization of Artificial Intelligence in detecting kidney stones can be done with various classification models including XResNet-50, ExDark19, CystoNet, CNN, ANN. Using the right model and having a high accuracy value can help radiologists to accurately detect kidney stones.

Nowaday, expanding the application of deep learning technology is attracting attention of many researchers in the field of remote sensing. This paper presents methodology of using deep convolutional neural network model to determine the position of shoreline on Sentinel 2 satellite image. The methodology also provides techniques to reduce model retraining while ensuring the accuracy of the results. Methodological evaluation and analysis were conducted in the Mekong Delta region. The results from the study showed that interpolating the input images and calibrating the result thresholds improve accuracy and allow the trained deep learning model to externally test different images. The paper also evaluates the impact of the training dataset on the quality of the results obtained. Suggestions are also given for the number of files in the training dataset, as well as the information used for model training to solve the shoreline detection problem.

Greenhouse cultivation plays a pivotal role in modern agriculture by providing a controlled environment for plant growth. The significance of greenhouse insulation lies in its ability to create optimal conditions for plant development, ensuring increased crop productivity and quality. This paper emphasizes the criticality of greenhouse insulation and the necessity for effective predictive models to anticipate plant growth and yield accurately. This research proposes the utilization of Machine Learning (ML)and Deep Learning (DL) techniques to forecast plant growth and yield within controlled greenhouse settings. To achieve this, a novel deep recurrent neural network (RNN) architecture employing the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) neuron model is deployed in the prediction process.The study offers a comparative analysis involving various ML methodologies such as support vector regression and random forest regression. The performance evaluation of these diverse methods is conducted using the mean square error criterion to assess their effectivenessin predicting plant growth and yield. The model's sophisticated architecture enables it to produce accurate and timely predictions regarding specific growth parameters by leveraging an advanced neural network. This holistic approach introduces a novel perspective in greenhouse tomato cultivation, providing growers with valuable insights to facilitate informed decision-making, streamline resource distribution, and promote heightened agricultural sustainability.

Efficient traffic flow prediction is paramount in modern urban transportation management, contributing significantly to energy efficiency and overall sustainability. Traditional traffic prediction models often struggle in complex urban traffic networks, especially at multi-intersection junctions. In response to this challenge, this research paper presents a pioneering approach that not only enhances traffic flow prediction accuracy but also indirectly supports energy efficiency. This study leverages deep learning techniques, specifically the Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU), to analyze traffic patterns simultaneously at multiple intersections within a city. By treating the entire traffic network as a distributed system, the model provides real-time predictions, allowing for better traffic management and reduced fuel consumption. Moreover, the incorporation of data fusion techniques, which integrate data from various sources, including traffic sensors and historical traffic information, bolsters the accuracy and robustness of predictions. By predicting traffic flows with precision, this research aids in optimizing traffic signal timing, reducing congestion, and ultimately promoting more efficient transportation systems, which, in turn, reduces fuel wastage and emissions. This study, therefore, advances intelligent transportation systems and offers a promising pathway toward improved energy efficiency in urban mobility.

The utilization of neural model techniques for predicting learner performance has exhibited success across various technical domains, including natural language processing. In recent times, researchers have progressively directed their attention towards employing these methods to contribute to socioeconomic sustainability, particularly in the context of forecasting student academic performance. Additionally, educational data frequently encompass numerous categorical variables, and the efficacy of prediction models becomes intricately tied to sustainable encoding techniques applied to manage and interpret this data. This approach aligns with the broader goal of fostering sustainable development in education, emphasizing responsible and equitable practices in leveraging advanced technologies for enhanced learning outcomes. Building on this insight, this paper presents a literature review that delves into the use of machine learning techniques for predicting learner outcomes in online training courses. The objective is to offer a summary of the most recent models designed for forecasting student performance, categorical coding methodologies, and the datasets employed. The research conducts experiments to assess the suggested models both against each other and in comparison to certain prediction techniques utilizing alternative machine learning algorithms concurrently. The findings suggest that employing the encoding technique for transforming categorical data enhances the effectiveness of deep learning architectures. Notably, when integrated with long short-term memory networks, this strategy yields exceptional results for the examined issue.

Human action recognition plays a crucial role in various applications, including video surveillance, human-computer interaction, and activity analysis. This paper presents a study on human action recognition by leveraging CNN-LSTM architecture with an attention model. The proposed approach aims to capture both spatial and temporal information from videos in order to recognize human actions. We utilize the UCF-101 and UCF-50 datasets, which are widely used benchmark datasets for action recognition. The UCF-101 dataset consists of 101 action classes, while the UCF-50 dataset comprises 50 action classes, both encompassing diverse human activities. Our CNN-LSTM model integrates a CNN as the feature extractor to capture spatial information from video frames. Subsequently, the extracted features are fed into an LSTM network to capture temporal dependencies and sequence information. To enhance the discriminative power of the model, an attention model is incorporated to improve the activation patterns and highlight relevant features. Furthermore, the study provides insights into the importance of leveraging both spatial and temporal information for accurate action recognition. The findings highlight the efficacy of the CNN-LSTM architecture with an attention model in capturing meaningful patterns in video sequences and improving action recognition accuracy. In deep learning, systematic and rapid development of diverse lifestyle, including marketing, policing, finance, manufacturing and education modeling which creates pioneering technologies such as autonomous systems. Deep learning being a subset of machine learning is tackling problems with advanced features. Deep Learning is basically a neural network with processing units consisting of multiple layers with which it has efficaciously applicable to a wide set of problems in the areas such as image processing, image recognition and natural language processing. This paper gives a brief review on the different approaches, algorithms used in deep learning techniques from the beginning to the present scenario. The main aim of this study is to reveal the advantages features of the handsome approaches utilized in the deep learning process. Deep learning methods are contributing a diversity of assistances not only to online learners but also to institutions that advance in current eLearning platforms. This survey will afford an overview of the key ideas on the concept, approaches, advantages and impact of deep learning in the area of research.

Deep learning is increasingly used in short-term load forecasting. However, deep learning models are difficult to train, and adjusting training hyper-parameters takes time and effort. Automated machine learning (AutoML) can reduce human participation in machine learning process and improve the efficiency of modelling while ensuring the accuracy of prediction. In this paper, we compare the usage of three AutoML approaches in short-term load forecasting. The experiments on a real-world dataset show that the predictive performance of AutoGluon outperforms that of AutoPytorch and Auto-Keras, according to three performance metrics: MAE, RMSE and MAPE. AutoPytorch and Auto-Keras have similar performance and are not easy to compare.

Diagnosis of epilepsy can be expensive, time-consuming, and often inaccurate. The gold standard diagnostic monitoring is continuous video-electroencephalography (EEG), which ideally captures all epileptic events and dis-charges. Automated monitoring of seizures and epileptic activity from EEG would save time and resources, it is the focus of much EEG-based epilepsy research. The purpose of this paper is to provide a survey in order to understand, classify and benchmark the key parameters of deep learning-based approaches that were applied in the processing of EEG signals for epilepsy monitoring. This survey identifies the availability of data and the black-box nature of DL as the main challenges hindering the clinical acceptance of EEG analysis systems based on Deep Learning and suggests the use of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) and Transfer Learning to overcome these issues. It also underlines the need for more research to recognize the full potential of big data, Computing Edge, IoT to implement wearable devices that can assist epileptic patients and improve their quality of life.

The recent advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) affords ambition to exploit this revolution in multiple fields. Computer-assisted teaching and learning creates a very important area of AI application. Consequently, this last will be able to revolutionize this field. In research conducted by our laboratory, we are interested to explore AI trends to teaching and learning technologies. As part of this, we aim to study learner’s behaviors in education and learning environment, thus we aim to analyze the student through the front camera, as a first step we intend to develop a model that classify face’s images based on deep learning and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) in particular. Model development of images classification can be realized based in several technologies, we have chosen for this study to use IBM solutions, which are provided on the cloud. This paper describes the training experiment and the model development based on two alternatives proposed by IBM where the goal is to generate the most precise model. It presents a comparative study between the two approaches and ends with result discussing and the choice of the accurate solution for deployment in our teaching and learning system.

In this paper we present a high performance Deep Learning architecture based on Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The proposed architecture is effective as it is capable of recognizing and analyzing with high accuracy different Sign language datasets. The sign language recognition is one of the most important tasks that will change the lives of deaf people by facilitating their daily life and their integration into society. Our approach was trained and tested on an American Sign Language (ASL) dataset, Irish Sign Alphabets (ISL) dataset and Arabic Sign Language Alphabet (ArASL) dataset and outperforms the state-of-the-art methods by providing a recognition rate of 99% for ASL and ISL, and 98% for ArASL.

Access to safe drinking water is one of the most pressing issues facing many developing countries. Water must meet Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.) requirements. The normal method of measuring physico-chemical parameters is to take samples manually and send them to the laboratory to check the water quality. In this paper, we proposed a new intelligent design of a real-time water quality monitoring system using Deep Learning technology. This system is composed of several sensors that allow us to measure water parameters (physico-chemical parameters), bacteriological parameters and organoleptic parameters) and to detect the presence of certain substances (undesirable substances, toxic substances) and of a single-board/mobile computer module, Internet and other accessories. Water parameters are automatically detected by the single-board computer. Raspberry Pi3 model B. The single board computer receives the data from the sensors and this data is sent to the web server using the Internet module. It is able to detect the water quality situation worldwide. The data will be analysed in real time. The application of deep learning to these areas has been an important research topic. The Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM) network has been shown to be well suited for processing and predicting large events with long intervals and delays in the time series. LSTM networks have the ability to retain long-term memory.

Aspect category detection (ACD) is a task of aspect-based sentiment analysis (ABSA) that aims to identify the discussed category in a given review or sentence from a predefined list of categories. ABSA tasks were widely studied in English; however, studies in other low-resource languages such as Arabic are still limited. Moreover, most of the existing Arabic ABSA work is based on rule-based or feature-based machine learning models, which require a tedious task of feature-engineering and the use of external resources like lexicons. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to overcome these shortcomings by handling the ACD task using a deep learning method based on a bidirectional gated recurrent unit model. Additionally, we examine the impact of using different vector representation models on the performance of the proposed model. The experimental results show that our model outperforms the baseline and related work models significantly by achieving an enhanced F1-score of more than 7%.
