Universities must implement mechanisms that allow for the continuous evaluation of their programmes in order to ensure their relevance and to meet the different evaluation challenges. Management charts are just one of the tools that can be used to monitor the relevant indicators of the evaluation mechanism and to assess the coherence of the programmes. Curriculum mapping and course outlines can also be used to monitor the indicators. Following a description of these three elements, the methodology used by the École de bibliothéconomie et des sciences de l'information (EBSI) of the Université de Montréal is described, illustrating the application of continuous evaluation. As part of the celebrations of the founding of the Ecole de biblio-theconomie et des sciences de I'information (EBSI) of the Univer-site de Montreal so years ago, this article describes the evolution of the research carried out at the EBSI but from a different perspective : the scientometric analysis of the research activity of the professors. In doing so, it is possible to describe the research as well as appreciate its dynamics, namely in terms of the network of collaborators and the areas of research. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article uses the concept of Web 2.0 to define the concept of "library 2.0". It suggests that the recent analyses of the evolution of the service offer of libraries are necessarily linked to the knowledge of technologies and to the philosophy underlying the Web 2.0. The purpose of such an undertaking is to examine new ways of operating libraries that coincide with the research and the information-seeking habits of users. Technologies such as blogs, Wiki sites, RSS feeds and social networking play an important role in the evolution of the service offer. This article examines a new concept of library operations in which notions of co-creation and evolutionary and interdependent service are key; they constitute the framework of an "ecosystem" library. With co-creation in mind, the authors study the role of the user in this "ecosystem" as well as the changes to be undertaken from the point of view of the users, the organisation and its mission. This article presents the results of an exploratory and descriptive examination whose objective was a better understanding of the phenomenon of integrated management of information within an organisation, namely the federal government, who officially adopted an information management policy. A closer examination of the information policies of the federal government indicates a fragmented approach to information management in spite of a clear desire for integration. An analysis of the organisational charts of 19 departments illustrates a trend towards integration of the various information functions associated with technological management and informational content, excluding the communication function. This trend was observed within the same organisational structure. Other than a shared organisational structure, the case study of a governmental organisation reveals that the information functions are markedly differentiated, are rarely interdependent and demonstrate limited integration.
