Academic library websites are considered an integral tool for disseminating libraries’ information, resources, and services. It also encourages users to interact and use library resources and services remotely. The spread of COVID-19 and the nationwide lockdown shifted the education system to an online mode of teaching and learning. The present study aims to analyse the usability criteria of the Central Universities’ library websites, the availability of various facilities & services provided during the pandemic, to know the mode of information dissemination during the pandemic, and the preventive measures undertaken by the Central University library websites to combat the Corona Virus. The study reveals that Aligarh Muslim University and the Central University of Orissa have adopted all possible means and modes to provide information to its users to combat the struggles during the pandemic through their library websites. However, certain Central University websites like the Central University of South Bihar have provided the least services for their users during the pandemic. The study also highlighted the essential steps initiated by the selected libraries to fulfill the information needs of their users, and those services may be opted by others to meet the post-lockdown needs. Indian Citation Index is a major web-based citation database that provides access to the Indian publications across all disciplines published in journals/serials or other documents. The current study evaluated the research productivity of Mizoram University based on the data collected from Indian Citation Index for fourteen years from 2004-2017. This study endeavours to analyse the overall performance of the faculty members of the Mizoram University in research productivity. During the study, a total of 265 articles were collected from Indian Citation Index between the years 2004-2017. The study endeavours to measure the year-wise distribution of publication output, co-authorship index, and collaborative index, degree of collaboration, collaboration coefficient, modified collaboration coefficient, most productive author, top-ranked subjects and top-ranked publications based on the collected data. The result of the study indicates that the average research output is 18.93 articles per year. The most productive author was U. K. Sahoo department of Forestry with 25 publications. The highest rank publication was Current Science with 16 publications. Highest publications have been given by Biological Science subject which is 54 and research article 230 was a preferred document by the scientists of Mizoram University during 2004-2017. Webometrics is concerned with measuring forms of the web: web pages, words in web pages, parts of web pages, websites, etc. Websites of 10 Central Universities in North East India are examined. The study calculates the link pages, the number of web pages, and analysis the Web Impact Factor of Central universities in North East India and the result found that the Tezpur University occupies first place with the highest Domain & Page Authority, External Equity-Passing Links and Total External links. While, Mizoram University leads with the highest Internal Equity-Passing Links, Total Equity-Passing Links, Total Internal links and Total links. After analysing the websites of these 10 Central Universities of North East India, the result reveals that Web Impact Factor of Mizoram University (MZU) occupies at top position with 83.54 SWIF, 52.73 IWIF and 30.80 EWIF among the other Central Universities Websites in North East India.
