The article examines the claim by clinical professor of dermatology Robert Kalb that early treatment of severe psoriasis will decrease the risk of cardiovascular comorbidities that have been associated with severe psoriasis such as stroke and heart attack. Other topics discussed include the cutaneous complications that can develop in patients who are on a regimen of biologic therapies and the development of biologic registries to supplement clinical trials on biologics.
