The idea of anti-imperialism lacks conceptual and practical homogeneity which can be appealed by different political doctrines and ideological currents. This work aims to characterize the intellectual trajectory of anti-imperialist thought in the Chilean Socialist Party (PS), recognizing its originality, moments of change, and continuities during the period between 1933 and 1967. Far from doctrinal and discursive homogeneity, the different interpretations on this topic are inseparable from the changes in international reality due to internal debate between the socialist intelligentsia, concerned about the dynamics of imperialist penetration in Latin America and the Third World. From that point of view, socialists support and subscribe to different nationalist and antiimperialist programs that linked the national political process with the dynamics of the international system. Ricardo Fonseca's funeral was not only the posthumous tribute to who had been General Secretary of the Chilean Communist Party. In the context of the political proscription that affected the communists, the organization of the funerals, in mid-1949, became an effective political tool that sought to influence that complex scenario, demonstrating the strength that could still be deployed and reinforcing its own party identity, affected by its virtual marginalization of political life. Communist participation in Gabriel González Videla's Government had one of its most significant milestones the appointment of militants as ministers, mayors, governors and advisers in fiscal and semi-fiscal institutions. Since Popular Front's government communists have participated in a triumphant alliance, but this was the first time the Communist Party assumed a central position within a government, promoting a program that included structural reforms. Although the situation turned out to be complex (in transition from anti-fascist struggle to anti-imperialist and anti-oligarchic proposals), experience forced the Chilean Communist Party to seek a way to integrate its governmental responsibilities with its revolutionary vocation, in local and global perspectives. Changes in Argentinean right wing-nationalist political discourse of the sixties can only be explained in relation to the international Cold War-context. Thus, some fundamental concepts of Argentine nationalist political tradition were altered by the ups and downs of the international agenda. Because of this, this paper intends to trace the transformations of the nationalist political program, starting with the discursive mutations of the ideas of "Hispanism" and "Revolution". Hence, this renewed revolutionary program -even when related to inherited ideological elements of previous nationalist generations- was reinterpreted in light of new Cold War-meanings of the concept of Revolution. Entre 1938 y 1963, la Confederación de Trabajadores de América Latina (CTAL) fue la organización sindical más numerosa y de mayores vínculos continentales e internacionales que se tenga registro. La historiografía obrera desarrolló durante la segunda mitad del siglo XX una investigación superficial y acrítica sobre la CTAL. Este trabajo recoge gran parte de esos trabajos, llegando a la conclusión de que hay muchas sombras y pocas luces del histórico protagonismo que le cupo a esta organización sindical en un periodo de suma trascendencia, como fueron la posguerra y los prolegómenos de la Guerra Fría. Labor historiography on the CTAL developed an superficial and uncritical work during the second half of the twentieth century research. This articles reviews many of these studies, concluding that there are many shadows and few lights of the historic role that of this organization in a period of great importance, as were the postwar period and the eve of the Cold War. To advance the prospects need to be directed toward new directions.

In this article, going to the personnel file of President Gabriel González Videla (1946-1952) the relationship between his idea of foreign policy and domestic policy especially in its internal crisis with the pro-communist trade union movement is discussed. For authors ideas of international politics predated his administration, and framed within a framework that could be called "progressive " thinking at the time. his "anti" positions -first anti-fascist and anti-could then be articulated in different and successive times for other more permanent role in his vision as the s inequality international relations topics, the idea of an international democratic community with coercive capacity, and the thesis that democracy had two dimensions, political democracy and economic democracy (also international). This allows researchers to shift their gaze from the international to the national and vice versa, conceiving the domestic as essentially interrelated stage and taking the stage and opportunities for Chilean foreign policy in the beginning Cold War. This paper aims to reconstruct the early action of the Argentine Council for Peace, local headquarters of the World Peace Council, the most important front organization supported by communism during the Cold War period. Through the itineraries of writers María Rosa Oliver and Alfredo Varela and the essayist Ernesto Giudici, key figures in the Movement for Peace in Argentina, the article analyzes the relationship between intellectuals and communist efforts after World War II, in the context of Juan Domingo Peron's government.
