Abstract

The article focuses on a study evaluating the use of the vivitrol, a full mu-opioid receptor antagonist, for addiction recovery in drug courts in the U.S. Topics discussed include treatment of alcohol and opiate use disorders, approval of the drug naltrexone by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and drug addiction.
