This paper, facing the development of essential competences, presents an experience report in the context of Pedagogy of Projects that was developed in a State School located in the city of Várzea Grande - MT. In Project Pedagogy, it is important to highlight that the student is the center of the process and the teacher becomes the mediator for the pedagogical actions to take place. With the development of social communication skills and abilities for students to be able to speak and write, to know the radio phonic language, to stimulate creativity and self-management, as well as to value the teamwork and the development of speaking in public, we opted to let the students be the protagonists of the radio, assembling the schedule, organizing the daily script, choosing the playlist and doing the presentation of the radio. Thus, the objective of the study was to reflect on the importance of Project Pedagogy in the development of students' competences and of the graduate students that were of the Pedagogical Residency Program.
